I have come across a non internet guy who desperately needs the top half of the motor mounts.
That plate that bolts to the engine. He insists that Foxbody mustang mounts will not work. He has an 88 TC that is about to get a 5.0 If you can't help, advice would help. Thanks in advance

Right from the start of the Fox bodies I have always liked them.
My father worked for Ford where the Fairmonts were assembled for a few years. I have owned 3, 1980 Thunderbirds, one a Silver Anniversary model that was too rough to save. My first new car was an 87 Thunderbird LX Sport. Unfortunately I missed as red light six months later. As the original owner of an 88 XR-7, that I still have, I share you love of these cars. I spotted the Red one for sale in 2017 but I was too busy to even go see it. It had some equipment on it, Like a Tremec TKO 5 speed and the top of the line MSD ignition system. It disappeared on-line so I forgot about it. About 8 months later, it appeared on-line again, minus the 5-speed and the ignition. The seller, now just wanted to part it out and was not interested in selling it whole. I offered him a fair price it Red/Red was on it's way. I have been hunting and gathering a few parts that I needed and even found a whole Blue/Blue Cougar parts cat that had stuff on it that I never thought I needed. The motor I am using has been in the corner of my shop since 2012.

I have always had fun, over the years, towing the Cougars to where the need to go,
However when I went to rent a tow dolly in August, U-Haul refused because my hitch was only rated for 3,500 pounds,

My parts car came with a nice shiny Plenum in the back seat.
I had assumed is came off the car but when I went to install it, I noticed it was different. I googled some Mustang pics and I can see that both types were used. OK my knowledgeable friends, Why the difference ? Thanks in advance.

The elimination of Emissions testing in Ontario has given me thoughts of leaving the track style exhaust on my project car.
With the discovery that the exhaust manifolds on the donor engine are not useable, my mind is made up. Before I buy anything, I need your help ! Do these pipes look like the were used with shorty headers ? What do you think ?

To the member who needs door panels,
I can't send private messages, I think. Could be operator error ! I hate to see perfectly good parts go to scrap ! I will get them off today and Monday, I will get a shipping quote. I will do what I can to make this work.

Before I get too far into this project, I need to tackle ghosts of the past.
This car had an alarm system and a "do it your self" Pioneer stereo system installed. Now the clock is always on and both feeds to the stereo regardless of the key position. I have removed the alarm and all traces of the wiring. I unplugged the stereo to make sure that was not the issue. No engine in this car as of right now, but the parts car has no engine as well and does not have this issue. My original 88 has never had this issue. Could a relay be stuck ? I will keep playing with this. My suspicion that there is wires crossed somewhere. Thought about changing the whole wire harness but the parts car was a digital dash so this will not work. Any leads ? Pun intended !
