If one of the pieces your looking for is the one that bolts to the floor to seal it, I have one I removed from the mustang I parted out if it will work.
They technically will fit, but depending on your tires it may run into a problem with hitting the front of the wheel well. They actually move the axle forward, it also wouldnt look right. I thing MM actually does make Tbird/cougar specific ones, Id have to look to be sure.
Eventually the plan is to repaint factory color. If I can't swing it soon, I may do a temp matte blue or something like that just to have it look decent. Right now the main focus is gonna be getting the last few pieces needed to get it back to running and moving under its own power.
Finished pulling some things like the cam and some parts Ive sold off of the parts stang today. In the process I looking in the door speaker grille and realized there was non-factory speakers in there to, low and behold it was a set of Sony Explode 3 way 6" speakers!! So now the Tbirds gonna be fully outfitted with aftermarket speakers. Ive already hooked them all to a test radio I have at home here and they all sound great!! Im knocking on being closer to making it move under its own power again!! Ironically theres just something very fitting to tearing apart a Mustang to revive a Tbird!!
And as you can see, the mustang is slowly loosing the battle!!! LOL
Never mind on the door panels then, If I have to go thru dyeing and such I want the other style. I know the panels I'm looking for were the same ones my old 88 sport had.
If all goes according to plan, it will be meeting its end by the weekend. so if anyone needs anything let me know and no reasonable offer refused at this point of the game
Officially have trans pulled from the mustang, and 2 screw's holding me back from the roller cam and followers. My son got to help a bit today, mainly pulling the stang in. He was on sister babysitting duty for most of the part removal, but he had fun pulling it in!!
I picked up a rough but running 91 mustang from a buddy of mine for the trans and a couple other things. Off of it Im keeping the T5, roller cam and followers for sure. I may keep some other stuff as I go thru it that will work on my TC, but everything else is up for grabs. Other than my price for whats left of the car (s price) prices of stuff are negotiable and throwing out your best offer is encouraged. The only other thing that isnt for sale in the pics is the pony rims, those I have to return to my buddy. They were just put on so I can move it around.
remainder of car $250
Dual plug head, minus cam & followers $100 also will make a deal with bottom end Bell housing $50 Clutch, brake, accelerator pedal assembly $50 Ircm $30 Short block $75 DIS engine wiring harness - make offer Any interior parts - make offer
There is obviously more to it, I just havent had time to go thru everything yet. Im only going to keep it around for a couple weeks. Whats left then will meet its demise in a crusher.
Ah my old car, your gonna have to use the string method for knowing where the cam timing mark should be. Run a string from center of cam boot to center of auxiliary shaft bolt. Where the string crosses that edge of the pulley is where the cam mark should be. The original marker for cam timing broke off like they tend to do over time.
