2.3 cam specs

anyone know intake / exh lift? duration? lobe center? and the cams never varryed rite? i dont think they did, just makeing sure tho :banana:

Wouldn't a 2.3T cam be different from one in, say, a Ranger?

i should have specified, i was refering to turbo motors. im looking into getting another tc and wanted to start some research, basicaly what i want from this is stock tc cam size, and maybe the name of a good after market cam.


edit** hears what i have so far, as you can see its some what off. like theirs sopposed to be more torque earlyier in rpm 240 ftlbs @ 3400 RPM

Go here http://www.merkurencyclopedia.com/ and click on camshaft on the left hand side.  It will give you specs of a bunch of different cams.  Hope that helps.

thanks, one of the guys off the turbo board sent me their to that helped alot, but now im still stuck with  the above, usualy if i play around with the numbers i can get the factory or close to it rateing, i got my 2 v8's on the money with just putting in the numbers... cant for the life of me figure out y it wount "line up" with factory specs

Could it have anything to do with the fact that you have it set as roller lifters?  I dont' know much about that stuff so I am not sure.  But the stock cam did not come with the roller lifters.

From the '84 Shop Manual:

Lobe lift: Intake  .2381
            Exhaust .2381

Theoretical valve lift @ zero lash:
Intake  .390
Exhaust .390
