I would say so... The block itself should be identical... The 91-93 cougars were only rated at 205, but that is with the 94-95 mustang style upper intake... They would already come with 19# fuel injectors, and I do believe that all have stuff for mass air. I don't think that all the sensors and parts will interchange though. The brackets are different and the timing cover maybe different as well. Also they have e7te heads I do believe.

Oh and also, the 94-95 mustangs were only rated at 215 hp, but as far as I can tell the main parts are all the same.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

The cam is different.  The '91-93 T-bird/Cougar 5.0 cam is the same cam as in the '93 Cobra motor.  The difference is the rocker arms.  The Cobras had 1.7's,  Cougarbirds had 1.6's.  Cam part # starts with F1SE

Also it has a different water pump and timing cover (the same as used on the 94-95 5.0 Mustangs). You would need to swap a Fox timing cover and water pump on.

Are you saying the only difference to the cam in the 91-93 t-bird/Cougar 5.0 is the rocker arms?

I'm only asking since the block I was getting, the seller is having problems with it and I haven't gotten it for about 5 weeks now.

No, what's being said is that the '91-'93 'bird/cougar HO has the '93 cobra spec cam...it's a milder cam than the HO cam is...what made it seem slightly more agressive in the cobra was the 1.7 roller rockers that the '93 cobra had...the 91-93 cougar/bird did not have 1.7 rockers.

And I'm actually looking into something that may be a contradiction to that (from a reliable source).....Does anyone have a Cobra cam laying around?

Eric, is the cam in your 'vert a Cobra cam?  If so did you write the part # anywhere?

**Update -- the 91-92 Cougarbird has the F1SE cam though....Only the '93's have the Cobra cam.

Yes, I know the t-birds/cougar do not have 1.7 rockers.
See this thread about the cobra vs. HO cam if you think it is more aggresive -> http://foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?t=16923

Also the HO cam is actually more aggressive than the Cobra cam.

There's a few different sources on the Cobra cam that have contradicting information.  I'm not gonna say anything eithe way anymore until:

A:  Someone shows me a legit Cobra cam with markings

B:  I get fed up and just order one.....

We're getting hung up on the lift #'s anyway....Even in the thread you point back to there is no clear cut answer..... I'd heard the Cobra cam was the same as the 91-93 Cougarbird cam many times before from knowledgeable people.  Perusing the internet leaves this open to debate.  Looking  HEREalso shows even more confusion.....The high lift cam in the Cobra AND the 93-Cougar/Birds.  I'm callin a doubtful on that......

Sort block is the same with exception to the cam.  Why would you want to use a stock cam anyhow?

The 1993 Cobras have a different EEC, 24 lb/hr injectors, different MAF, GT40 iron heads, different cam, different rockers, and the GT40 lower with the Cobra upper.  I think the TB is even larger.

We know.
The question arises over what the specs are on the Cobra cam and is it infact the same as the 91-93 Cougar/Thunderbird 5.0.  I've heard yes and no.  I want proof either way....
