My stanley rotator ratchet. Costs about $23 at walmart, but this ratchet will make any other ratchet suck. Almost like having power tools.

Nice!!

I second that nomination for an outstanding product! Rusty and corroded bolts do not stand a chance against this stuff.

One product that I swear by and have been really impressed with is aerokroil.  http://www.kanolabs.com/

I have used it on rusty bolts and whatever I have soaked in the stuff came right out like it was a new bolt. The trim screws on my dad's '74 Vette were rusted in place and the philips heads were starting to strip. I soaked the bolts and they went from looking rusty to a greyish as the rust seemed to have dissolved. He thought they were going to have to be drilled out, the half stripped philips head screws came right out! It's not cheap but it works miracles on rusty bolts and nuts and is a big money saver on Advil!

I have Stanleys 99pc "Black Chrome" socket set...

Those are nice looking sets, but I can't see myself ever owning black sockets. That 99-piece set would quickly become a 98 piece set, then a 97 piece, and so on. Too easy to leave under a hood. What they should sell is a neon orange socket set. All of my Snap-On screwdrivers, picks and pry bars have bright orange handles...

Hell, when I was clearing the land and driving stakes in for my garage I kept losing my hammer until I finally got tired of it and grabbed a can of blaze orange spray paint and painted the hell out of it. It's ugly but it stands out in a brush pile...

Yea, I was not considering visibility when I bought these, which was a mistake for my work environment. Gotta love when the one socket that you need to complete the job jumps off of your ratchet and lands in the grass. Mine is surprisingly still a 98pc set now, the 1/4in 10mm socket decided to run away, and was never found again. Either that or my Lincoln ate it, since that car is a known tool eater. Probably would have been a 50pc set by now, if I didn't have a metal detector to search for them, when they jump off into the grass under the car.

ok here i go first of all is my canada goose winter jacket .  Now i really was a person that hates winter and cold until i bought this jacket it was pricey and it took me some time to pull the trigger but it was well worth it  now i always find an excuse to go outside. yesterday in the evening it was close to -40 degrees celsius and i went to take a walk  after 20 min my  legs were freezing to the point it hurt but the coat was barely letting cold get to my torso and its rated for temperature from -10 to -20! that thing is awesome! here is the link  http://www.canada-goose.com/products-page/arctic/chilliwack-bomber-2

second thing i love alot  is my 98 toyota corolla. ok my t bird has been parked for 2 years , needs serious chassis and body work etc  so i got this corolla as a daily d and it is awesome!  in 2 or 3 years it has only asked me to change it 2 swaybar link kit  its good on gas and feels safe  its very reliable its kinda lousy on performance but consider that it has the same amount of hp than my t bird 3.8  yep 120hp and it considerably lighter and with a great set of tire its pretty fun to drive it    also that 1zfe 1.8l engine is good to go up to 400 000 kms  so im very happy with it.

Not sure what brand, I will have to check.  But my $6 Harbor Freight special 1/2" drive breaker bar, I have had an 8ft cheater pipe on this thing and it bends like hell, but does not break. I thought for sure the allen bolt that holds the head on would break, but hasn't. have owned it for 6 years now, and it always breaks things loose where other (a lot of time much more expensive) breaker bars fail
I will second this. I bought one years ago as a beater (because it was super cheap) and it's still with me. Never have felt the need to go out and spend big dollars on a "brand" name one as of yet. I'm not a fan if Harbor Freight junk but this piece does stand out.

Dry Top 20x30 Super HD 10Mil UV Treated Tarp

http://www.amazon.com/Dry-Top-320305-Heavy-Duty-10-Millimeter/dp/B000FH7NHQ/ref=pd_sim_sbs_hi_4

I use this tarp to cover up my boat when it's not in use. Has lasted through 2 fierce southern summers so far sitting in direct sunlight. Just checked it again last night, still no holes anywhere, very impressed. $65 keeps my boat nice all year long, so I'd say it's a good buy for anyone who needs to cover up a large boat, RV or travel trailer.

LED Flashlights

After buying my first quality LED flashlight I tossed all of my old incandescent bulb lights!

There may be other brands as good or better but I really like this one. Batteries last forever, it's compact and very bright. The way technology changes, it may be outdated already but it's been good to me. I have several Dorcy lights and all have been fine.  I prefer the ones with the switch on the end since it makes it easy to find without looking.

Dorcry K2

My son got this one and it's much brighter and cheaper!

Dorcy 41-4416

To me, LED is the only way to go!

I honestly never had a problem with mine. I have had 4 or them now, 3 walked away or were borrowed to never be returned. With this ratchet, you can remove the started bolts from the wheel well on a 87v-6 cougar easily, without removing the wheel with a bunch of extensions. I used this as my only ratchet in my just yard kit and never broke one. A lot of people say they break easily, but I have put well over 100ft lbs through it quite a few time.

The handle does deteriorate though, the rubber and plastic wear away. But it will still be comfortable to hold. I want to order a 1/2" and 1/4" when I have some time and money. Also, this ratchet works very well when your doing a water pump on a 5.0 in conjuction with wobbly extensions.

got one in my tool box also great for tight places, i dont use it for general work but in places you cant get your hand it's a lifesaver
