That's the super-plush interior that I've only seen for the 20th (?) Anniversary Thunderbird (1980). Wonder if it's all original? I don't know...it looks an awful lot like an Anniversary Bird to me. Photo is hard to see, but looks to have the front cornering lamps, too.

I have a 25th anniversary bird in my garage and while it does look similar it is different, the bird has the black strip going over the roof with the silver anniversary el lights in the bottom. Regardless, that is a sharp car to say the least. I would like it but dont need it as I might relocate and dont need a 6th car to play with

Man, those things are plush.  Looks like a dang home recliner chair.

Dan's Birds,

I've only seen 1 '80 Anniversary in person, and it was in the junk yard many years ago. I remember looking at the interior and thinking all that electronic stuff and plush seats would look neat in my Bird!  I would have needed to pull everything, though, as my car had the tan interior...would have gone o.k. with my re-painted black exterior, though!

Would be neat to see yours!  Do you have any pix to post?

mcb,

Where in Olathe do you live?  I've only seen 1 or two other Fox Cougars around here (not many 22 year-old cars in Yuppieland Park!).  I'm out by Garmin on the East side of I-35.

Well, if it's a Cougar, it's not an anny car.

Similar color scheme though.

Dan, does your 25th TBird have the Recaros?

I have to keep reminding myself that I don't need a 4th car.

Very true, on the Cougar/Anny.  They look virtually idnetical from the side, so hard to tell.  One has to take the CL poster's word.  I kinda wasn't thinking on that, though!

Thanks for the pics Dan.  Nice looking car.

The Recaros that went with the Anny car were awesome.
