Suspension/Steering / Re: Poking help
I figured out what the poke was. It the front wheels have two different brands of tire.  The Bridgestone tire brand 255/35/18 is slightly wider than the Michelin brand 255/35/18  When I got the wheels I needed tires right away to take it off the jack stands. Thanks for the help all who responded

Unfair comparison. 94-04 Mustang have wider fenders and will take more wheel and tire width and/or less wheel backspacing without the wheels poking outside of the fender edges.  I've seen street driven 94-04 Mustangs using 315mm section width tires on the back and 285's on the front with no fender mods and not sticking out.  Try that with a stock Fox anything. They also have larger wheel openings which allows for larger diameter wheels without tire rub on full turn.

There is definitely wheel clearance on full turns  I check already. May have to roll fenders a little. And add  a 1/2in spacer in the rear and be done.  I’m committed to the wheels.

That sucks to hear I was pretty sure these wheels would fit I purchased them from LMR originally designed for 94-04 mustangs. These same wheels fit 79-93 mustangs with 5lug   conversion. I’ll take another look at everything. I kinda suspect it maybe the hubs I bought from Amazon.  And I known. Why Amazon?

Suspension/Steering / Poking help
I recently completed a 4 to 5 lug conversion, including disc brakes, front and back my front spindles are from a 95 mustang and my front brake components  are from a 2000 mustang. I also used lowering springs front and rear and so when I place my wheels on the rear it fit perfectly no issues but there was a slight poke on my passenger side front wheel, the wheels are a staggered 18 x 10 rear and 18 x 9 front with +24 offset and 5.95 backspacing, tire sizes are 295/35/18 rear and 255/35/18 front .  Any suggestions for resolving this poke?D7B9E5C3-BD02-46DE-8EDD-6FECDB6C02BE.jpg9E9F7C13-F6AC-4840-B325-6D65A81DE5A0.jpg

Drivetrain Tech / Re: Axle swap
So after rereading thread I decided to go back to parts yard to pull 96 axles.  looking at my TC 8.8 , I started wondering if I should have taken caliper mounting bracket. Do anyone know if the TC caliper mounting bracket will work with sn95 rear disc brake setup?

vintage it seems that my door sticker is very similar to yours. Definitely have the same axle codes

Drivetrain Tech / Re: Axle swap
This thread has yielded some good information but I’m alittle confused “will these 99 mustang axles work with some spacing or it’s a unstable setup all together?  JeremyB seems to have had some success with axles. And by the way I appreciate everyone’s input. Aerocoupe, chuck W, Eric, jeremyB and beau.

Drivetrain Tech / Re: Axle swap
It's been a minute, but I'm running 99-04 axles  and SN95 solid discs in my 87 7.5" rear end.

On paper it works perfectly, but I had to put small spacers to get the disc and caliper to properly align IIRC.

So you you were able to use axles from 99-04 and they worked with spacers? What kind of spaces and where did I you place them?

OK I know this horse been beat to death but let’s beat it a different way.  I recently want to a u pull it salvage yard I spent the day collecting calibers rotors brackets spindles hubs I guess you can see where I’m going with this yeah I was collecting for a 4-5 lug conversion it was going good until when I realized Man these axles are a little bit long.  this mustang is not the 96 8.8 V8 I came for but the 1999
Why I didn’t notice the Dual caliber, I don’t know.
But my question is can I still use this axles (30.75)length in my 88 sport.  ( the salvage yard combined with hour drive I would rather not make that trip again if I don’t have too plus a lot of seized bolts)

Engine Tech / Re: Build approval someone please!
So I was thinking to myself about how I should approach this rebuild. I have a friend that is letting me use his garage so initially I was going to do just the engine but then I got to thinking that at some point I’m going to have to pull this trans and rebuild that too, so while I have the space to work maybe I should take full advantage of my space I’m using. I already got an 8.8 rear with 3.73 gears that I’m starting to work on now it’s so funny how you can start off doing one thing and then you fall into a rabbit hole. But the way I understand it, is that each system           (engine, trans, and Differential) depends on the other for optimum performance.

Ford gray high temp engine paint works well for the upper intake manifold. I used it on mine about 10 yrs ago and it's still holding up great.
That looks good, nice and clean.  Man, trying to pic colors for my engine is a project to it self. But I’m leaning towards a blue block, water pump  and heads with black ford racing valve covers not sure yet about upper and lower intakes. My engine now.

I give up on finding this computer, I’m just going to buy it from autozone. I’ve been working on cleaning up my new parts. Wire wheel has been working great so far.

ALG 5.0 88-93 CA Mustang - P/N

So I do not have the part numbers for the majority of the EEC's but I have never had to use anything but the ones listed to find what I needed.  I would stay away from the California EEC's unless you have a California car as the rumor is they are less aggressive in tuning due to the stricter emission requirements.  Also, the three or four digits in large letters on the EEC's label are referred to as "catch codes".

Maybe this will help your search.
This list is like I struck gold!  Thanks Aerocoupe
Going to replace all the  engine bolts any recommendations for complete bolt kits. Or is it better to buy individually?
