Misc Tech / Test Procedures Area (87 TC/5.0)?
Been off the site for a while, but I would swear there used to be a section for (relatively) simple but common troubleshooting procedures?  The one I'm thinking of was the one to rule out fuel pump relay vs. fuel pump issues or EEC issues.  Did some searches but came up empty.  Already replaced the relay (cuz it was easy/cheap) but the tank/pump, not so much.  I'd love to narrow it down to the pump before I go any further.  All I remember is jumpering a wire on the passenger side kick panel to listen for the pump but I'm getting old and the memory is fading.  Thx

Mods, is this a workable idea or too much hassle?

Suspension/Steering / ABS Acspoogeulator ball needed 1987 TC
Well after 29 years it would appear it has given up the ghost. Did a search and looks like it is obsolete. Looking for a good part number and any sources if there are any. I'd consider used if you're fairly sure it's still good.  Any advice on R&R would be appreciated. Thx in advance.

Electrical Tech / Getting Bear Claws to ABS Part Deau
So many moons ago I posted how I was trying to get Bear Claws to make nice with the stock ABS system.  At first it worked great then started throwing an Anti-lock light. The post asked how to figure out what was the fault code being thrown.  I did find the OBD harness in the trunk but Mr. Cassity said you need an ABS break out box to read ABS codes.  Don't have one of those but I suspect one or more of the wheel sensors. I tried to attach pics of the left front and rear installs for clarification.  I thought maybe the air gap might have been off but I just cleaned and adjusted them and they were at the 1.1 mm gap.  So a couple questions: When I hear guys parting out cars, do they keep those sensors? If so are any available for sale? Is there a bench test for a sensor? Are the sensors specific to each corner or are rights and lefts the same.  They seem to be symmetrical.  Didn't want to throw parts at it but I thought maybe the sensors would be the common failure since they're exposed to pretty harsh conditions. Thanks

Body/Appearance/Interior / Wiper Motor controller Issues?
Hey Fellas (& ladies)

So the other day I went to use the windshield wipers and they work fine in all modes except when they're turned off they just stop instead of retreating below the hood line.  Is this a motor, controller or switch issue.  If I remember correctly, theres a little black plastic controller box under the dash but not sure what it does. Any guidance would be nice before I dive into it.  Peace

Misc Tech / AC Temp Blinking (Blowing warm)
Hey Fellas, I have an 87 TC with electronic temperature control head.  I ran the self diagnostics and it came up with the code 88 which is no fault found.  Never seen the temp number flash before.  Not sure if its an AC or electrical issue.  Anybody seen this before. Thanks

Body/Appearance/Interior / Headlight Lense Options
Hey Fellas, Got an 87 Former Turbo Coupe with somewhat opaque lenses.  Did a little research but was looking for the simplest factory-looking lens upgrade choices.  Didn't want to mess with the wiring since the interior is pretty factory fresh.  Pics would be great to aid in the decision.  Thx

Electrical Tech / Starting Issues Help
OK fellas, I installed a new relay after it just clicked with a good battery.  When I went to put the negative battery post on, the engine immediately started cranking (with the ignition off and keys in my pocket).  Second relay, engine started and starter continued to run until I disconnected battery.  Now I'm thinking shorted column ignition switch.  Just replaced this and now it still wants to crank with key off.  I bench tested this latest relay and get continuity across both posts without 12v to the relay switch.  My theory is that a bad ignition switch is roasting the relays to the closed position but that's just a swag.  Since the ignition switch has just been replaced, I wanted to run this by the brain trust before I go buy relay number 4.

Electrical Tech / Windsor-Fox Customers?
Anybody used this now defunct CA company's 5.0 engine harnesses?  They would convert 5.0 harness to the Turbo Coupe chassis.  I made the mistake of not hooking up the check engine light and I think that made it impossible to pull codes when it misbehaves.  There no power to the OBD port.  Thanks
