Post by: Beau on February 10, 2013, 11:46:44 AM
Tried contacting you several times since Friday regarding our transaction, but no reply to my emails and PMs.

THREAD. (http://"http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/showthread.php?35275-Eibach-sport-springs&p=409026#post409026")

Cliff's notes:
Seller had a set of springs, I made a payment via paypal as a gift, as he requested.
Payment went on hold due to transferring from my checking account to paypal, so he refunded me, asked me to send it again.

I set my paypal to debit the money directly from my credit card, and the payment went through. Again as a gift, per seller's request.
He said he was sending out the springs that day (Feb 2) and I mistakenly assumed it was going to be a straightforward deal.

I refuse to bash or name call, and should the springs arrive tomorrow or the next day, this thread will be deleted.

Just saying that things do not seem so good, and I'm apparently out 125 bucks.

*NEVER* use the Gift option on Paypal unless you want nothing in return for parting with your $$$

Yeh. Pretty well ruined it for me, in regards to buying from people that aren't regulars.

I know some people out that way, we'll see what happens next.

Yeah, he got us, I'm afraid. Sucks, now that I have a good job, lots of new guys here, some with access to good parts for sale, and now I'm not nearly so trusting.

Ahh well, 15 years of dealing in internet car parts, bound to get burned sooner or later.

Oh yeah, I've got a phone number, I'll pass it along in messenger right quick...

Nevermind on the phone number, it's a st louis #. He posted it as his own in a thread awhile back. funny how a sumbitch from PA would have a missouri phone number.

Can paypal help at all? Can you tell them you mistakenly sent it to the wrong person?

Send me a tracking number showing the parts are en route, I'll be  extremely glad to put this ordeal in the past. As well as a public  apology the minute they arrive.

If you haven't shipped the springs, then just be good enough to return my money, one or the other.

I reiterate: tracking number ASAP, or I'll go ahead with my dispute via paypal.
Show me proof they've been sent, and this will go away.

His JUST received response in it's entirety: "wow"

My reply to that:

Really? "wow"?

I've shipped a lot of things over the years, they  have always gave me a tracking number printed on a piece of paper.  Always. It even has an expected arrival date. I have always let the  buyer know when I shipped the parts, and provided a tracking number.  It's business. Now let's get to business.
Do you have a tracking number?

Nothing. Guess I will call paypal tomorrow. They indicated they'd be contacting me within 10 days as to a result. Nothing.

I'm feeling pretty shaging disgusted with things right now...odds are, I'm probably best not posting things right about now...but if I get anything from paypal or that puddle of dicksauce, I'll post something here.

Dear Beau M,

We have concluded our investigation into your claim detailed below. We
regret to inform you that we were unable to resolve this case in your favor
because the claim was incomplete, filed incorrectly, or outside the bounds
of coverage as defined in our User Agreement. As a result, we have not
taken any action at this time. Please be assured that this case has been
noted in the seller's record for future reference.

What a fawking crock.

Well, I'm going to PM the Admins/Mods and (try to) have the seller's ass banned. He's effectively ripped off 88turbo, and I'm still waiting on my claim results, but am feeling less than optimistic at this point.

The fact that he ripped off other people on other forums, as well as lie about Graham's tracking number should be enough.

Let this be a lesson I guess. Buyer beware, and if it's too good to be true, then run, don't walk, but run.

I hate a shaging scammer.
That is all.

i've discovered that paypal is a shaging joke.

If anyone here wants business with me from here on...it's gonna be by a money order, or a wire-sort of thing.

Paypal basically told me to piss off, in slightly more family friendly wording. So I calls up my good ole credit card company....they tell me to fax them a copy of everything, and they'll get shiznit right.

Since paypal has decided to ignore me, and not serve justice, I'm calling both the Linn County Sheriff's office, as well as the local PD out there and getting something going on. I'm pretty sure the cops are familiar with this fugging piece of shiznite.

Paypal is a joke when you pay as a gift. They don't get a commission when you pay as gift, so they don't care. Can't say I blame them. Hopefully the Credit  Card company can help you out.

One shouldn't be too awfully upset with Paypal when paying as a gift and the transaction goes wrong. When the one recieving the money wants it that way, he is trying to avoid the fees that paypal charges, and deserves,  for their service and that person is lying to them. If we send money to a person, for a purchase, and then tell paypal the money is being sent as a gift, we are going along with scam. We are just as guilty for going along with it. Paypal provides a service for a fee and all of us that use it agree to that up front when we electronically signed their user agreement. I'm not trying to criticize anyone here. I can't stand a crook either. But when we agree to get in bed with a crook, chances are good that it won't be good for us either.

If I KNEW I was going to get taken....well, I wouldn't be here g and moaning about it, now would I?

All it did was make me suspicious of everyone out there who comes on here to sell a part...sorry, if I don't know your first and last name, or have done business with you before, you're probably not going to get my money.

About 1 day after the sumbitch got my money, I did some digging, and knew I'd made a f*ck-up. I appreciate the insight on the gift option for paypal, rest assured that will never happen again. The sspoogebag has been outed on 4 forums, but I was a bit late to the party, as he's been banned already from them. Including here. In a few days, I should have something from the LE out his way....at this point, I don't even care about the money, long as the cops know he's still ripping folks off, and if they can get his ass on some fraud charges, that'd be great, however, I don't have the means to file a legal suit, and I'm not sure if an interstate small claims court case is feasible. Yeah, I got ripped off. Lesson learned, all right.

The police won't be able to do anything to him over this itself, as this is a civil matter. You gave him your money as a gift, plain and simple. Unless he is selling stolen parts, then they will be all over it.

If you want something done about it, you will have to take it upon yourself, otherwise you should just let it go.
