Body/Appearance/Interior / 87-88 tbird/cougar parts
Those fenders only come right hand only.I need left. I got a left today @ PNP so I am a little happier.I still need to do the rust repair at the rear lower quarters.I was hoping to find some replacement patch pannels.

So yellow86cougar......where do you live????

General Fox T-Bird/Cougar Discussion / Lower a seat.
Well an inch maybe all I need. I have tryed the front up back down.Just makes it more fun at the pedals.I drove a 87 with no sunroof and had lots of room. The roof in this car is factory power and seems to drop 3/4" - 1" in the roof. I just don't feel comfortable while driving with the seat leaned back so I am looking out the rear quarter window(well not really but close).
I looked at the track at the front and rear of the seat. The lower portion look like it is a flatbar from the front to rear. I don't know what a manual t-bird or cougar track will look like.

General Fox T-Bird/Cougar Discussion / Lower a seat.
I have a 87 turbocoupe with sunroof and power seats. I am 6'1" and I hate the sunroof. Has anyone moddifed there seat frame to have the seat go 1"-2" lower????Will I have to swap to a manual seat track??? I hate having to keep my head pen 15ed to one side while I drive then hit it on the edge of the headlinner opening when I hit a bump. Now I do have the seat leaned back but it makes it hard to shift.I just want to sit upright in my ride.
Thanx

Body/Appearance/Interior / Rust blisters - what's under them
Yeah. I live in Calgary and I have not been able to find any rust free fenders. My drivers side front fender, both sides of the lower front parts of the wheel well and the r/s rear lower wheel well is all rusted and I can't find parts for it at all.I want to get it repaired and painted this year before the snow falls.

Suspension/Steering / Clunk/bind in steering wheel
Well I found a 88 thunderbird LX in the wreckers today so I stole the sector shaft ( i think thats what is called). I will put it on tuesday and if it is still there,Well I already have the steering column half out on the wrecked car.

Drivetrain Tech / T-5 tailshaft problem.
I was checking my u-joints on my driveshaft because it always has a clunk when you let off the throttle at hiway speeds. At the trans end I was lifting up on the driveshaft and there was alot of play where the driveshaft went into the trans. Now I have seen this problem on the newer Crown Vic with the 4R70W auto trans and you have to replace the extention housing. But what do you do about the T-5 with this problem????Does anyone have this problem too?
