Suspension/Steering / Re: 2003/04 Cobra front springs
It looks like it only lowers the car slightly which is good. I see some cars on here with 16" rims and the cars are very low. Almost like no gap between the tire and top of the fender

The SN95 springs (GT, Mach 1, Bullit, Cobra) should lower it just enough to get rid of the 4X4 look but not slam it to the ground.
And that is what I want. I have some 17" rims to put on her. I like less 4x4 but not slammed. My work has these huge speed bumps that I want to make it over without killing my exhaust

Drivetrain Tech / Re: Anyone completed a 4R70W trans swap?
I will get pics because I have to get that tunnel from a 99-04 Mustang and make it graft onto the Thunderbird floor. I like to make stock parts work in my car more than using aftermarket stuff.  I will keep you posted because I have the quick 4 controller with wire harness that I have to install in the car too. From what I have read that this controller is the cats ass. I have to say that I do own a coyote powered F-150 and it has a 10r80 10 speed automatic. That trans is awesome. Too bad there was not a way to adapt the 6R80 trans behind the 351W.

Body/Appearance/Interior / Re: Drivers to dual power seat upgrade.
So I was successful at making two drivers side power seat harnesses into a passenger and driver power seats. All I had to do was tap into the power and grounds and then run a purple/orange wire between the two connectors. On the passenger side I had to swap two wires according to the EVTM.  I tested everything with my ohm meter to make sure all resistances were good. Now comes the task of putting it in and swapping the passenger seat track to power.

I was taking the interior apart in my bird for a couple reasons. One thing I noticed was I had power drivers seat but the wiring for a power passenger seat. Pulled the seats and carpet and found that the factory just tossed in an extra harness for a power seat and it was not plugged in. So I pulled the harness out and laid it out properly for my seat. I could not find where the harness plugged into on the passenger side for power and grounds. After some more research I noticed that the factory just shoved in two drivers side power seat harnesses and buried the other under the carpet. I figured that out by looking at the pin outs on the passenger side harness and found two wire were wired the same as the drivers.

So I am thinking I will make the extra harness pin properly for the passenger side and tap into the powers and grounds. The only thing I can not find is what the purple/yellow wire does in that harness.

So a 600lb rating on the front compared to the 400-ish for the stock Thunderbird. I swapped in a 351W so that may just be the good spring to swap into the bird.

Suspension/Steering / Re: OK Guys, School me on SN95 front brake swap
I already have the Turbo coupe proportioning valve in my car from when I did the turbo coupe rear diff swap.

TheFoe- So I will need to use the V6 SN95 booster then with the Cobra master cyl. Does that just help with the braking effort?  Also my stock Thunderbird master cyl is a 2 line master. It almost looks exactly like the Cobra one.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate all the info.

Suspension/Steering / 2003/04 Cobra front springs
I see that in a lot of posts that when you guys upgrade to newer front springs that you use 99 up Mustang GT springs. I have 2 sets of 2003 Cobra springs that I swapped from a coupe years ago. I think they are 300lb rated springs or something like that. Will these lower my bird plus keep the front stiff? I know my Cobra was not so comfy of a ride but that was not the purpose of owning a Terminator.

Thanks Aerocoupe

I think the 94/95 spindles on my Tbird lowers with SN95 ball joints will be the way I go. Then I will get SN95 inner and outer tie rods and modify the inner to the same length and my Tbird inner. I also have the PBR twin piston calipers to go with my set up. I will just need to get the weatherhead adapter fittings to fit the Tbird hard line to the PBR flex line. All I need to do is get a 93 Cobra master cyl and bleed the complete system.
