Sent my 2019 F-150 off to a better place last February. Long story short, great deal and I was not working due to Covid and had no problem waiting for the "3 Month" back order. Now we are into month 7 with not even a VIN yet. I'm back working and the Cougar has to fill the void. Just dug the head light/Marker box out of the rafters and installed the A-grade lights and markers. (I don't have any for sale) As fall approaches, I need to see better on my way to work in the morning. About 3,500 miles on this car, this year. By far, the most I have driven this car any year since 1999. I put 185,000 miles the first 11 years and only 3,000 from 1999 to 2020. Anyone else waiting for a 2021 F150 ? https://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/index.php?action=dlattach;sa=tmpattach;attach=post_tmp_6239_df3e8ac887678bbb9aa9a7bc1a3684df;topic=0
While this is not my daily driver, I do drive my 88 XR7 daily right now. This is from my 88 Project. I was backing it into the shop when the front wheel snapped.
The rest of the suspension is in really good shape. The car has sat outside the last 3 winters and All I can come up with is that water got in between the steel and the good ol' Canadian freeze/thaw cycle blew it apart. My daily driver will be coming into the shop after supper and be inspected.
I have come across a non internet guy who desperately needs the top half of the motor mounts. That plate that bolts to the engine. He insists that Foxbody mustang mounts will not work. He has an 88 TC that is about to get a 5.0
Right from the start of the Fox bodies I have always liked them.
My father worked for Ford where the Fairmonts were assembled for a few years.
I have owned 3, 1980 Thunderbirds, one a Silver Anniversary model that was too rough to save.
My first new car was an 87 Thunderbird LX Sport.
Unfortunately I missed as red light six months later.
As the original owner of an 88 XR-7, that I still have, I share you love of these cars.
I spotted the Red one for sale in 2017 but I was too busy to even go see it.
It had some equipment on it, Like a Tremec TKO 5 speed and the top of the line MSD ignition system.
It disappeared on-line so I forgot about it.
About 8 months later, it appeared on-line again, minus the 5-speed and the ignition.
The seller, now just wanted to part it out and was not interested in selling it whole.
I offered him a fair price it Red/Red was on it's way.
I have been hunting and gathering a few parts that I needed and even found a whole Blue/Blue Cougar parts cat that had stuff on it that I never thought I needed.
