Five hours of Hands On instructions, now including the bonus info disk 4. The Powerglide has become the favorite tranny for drag racing in lighter weight high HP cars. This copyrighted video is the first edition of How To Build a Drag Racing Powerglide Transmission. DVD which includes; a short history, discussing the pro‘s and con‘s of using the PG, tool overview, tranny disassembly, inspection, component repair, modifications needed for trans brake racing and final assembly. This video has all the detail needed take a stock donor Powerglide and convert it for use behind a 500 to 600 HP engine, however higher power upgrades are also talked about. The video has one to six chapter segments on each of the three DVD disk’s to quickly view or review information. There’s added chapters on identifying the different styles and gear ratio’s used through the 1962 to 73 model year’s of production. I’ve also added helpful tips and warnings when working with the PG. The new bonus second edition disk 4, has info on rebuilding a stock planetary to take aftermarket racing gears and machining a stock valve body for a transbrake conversion plus an explanation of transbrake operation and fluid flow.
