with the one wire 3 g alt the yellow wire now attaches to batt +post on alt - I tried the green/red and the white/black ( i also have the digital dash ) on the regulator side
I have a (what started out as an anniversary edition ) modified 302/5spd 3:73 tc rear axle asking 4500.00. pictures upon request this car is not stock but looks like it no nonford mods - just pieces that Ford didn't offer in an 87 v8 cat
ISO harness (i belive injector harness) from 5,0 with digital dash , the sending unit for temp guage will be two wire hard shell connector , also need bracket that holds sun sensor (in center top of dash)
i have an exhaust hanger, bolts to rear frame rail - not new but good shape. would like to trade for parts --need rearview mirror w/auto dim(have the auto dimer)hood release cable, the bracket that holds the sensor in the center top of the dash, harness for the digital dash (the feed to the sending unit on left side frt of intake) any/all or any combo of this list will work. if intrested pm me i will send pics
Some time back I:bowdown: saw a post that someone had added a diode to the tach. this was to have it read correctly for a v8, anyone remembers the post? someone mentioned "archive"?
credentials are not the issue. sorry if it sounded condescending, i simply want the harness if someone has it ,as i would rather not cut /splice/solder/ etc my harness.
the car started out a 5.0 sefi (20th anv)- it has been converted to 5.0 roller (mustang style) when this car was put together (16/17 years ago) i was told this mod would require me to change the harness (there is still argument as to if this is true due to injector firing etc) so the orignal harness was discarded (many years ago)
My expertice is not/ was not mods to driveability --the mods i like are the factory parts that were never offered as a package . i:e my car 5.0 roller, t-5 trans, t/c rear axle with the t/c adjustable shocks ect . i have installed one touch module for windows ect all withe the factory harness to make the "look of a factory option --some people make sure the hose clamps all go on the same way --its all preferance.
you responded to a post i had on the harness for the temp sending unit (left side of engine two wire connector)i asked how much and asked for a pic, then they moved the post so never heard back?
Yes, the harness has been swapped, it was originally thought that the sefi harness would not work and unfortunately was discarded. i want to have the original harness as the finished work is much better looking (i could have added a wire from my salp/pepper shaker , but still would have had to open up the harness and reseal it )
May i suggest that some people that ask questions here are looking for information. if it is too hard to do that then please just refrain , I am a seinor master ford tech trying to find a harness to correctly repair my car , and suggestions are appreacheated but no reason to try to belittle people . if you have a HARNESS i would be interested in purchasing it at the right price .
Yes its a v8 car - conversion from sefi so the harness used has only one wire - when the swap was done i didnt realize the temp sender would not read correctly with the single wire sending unit . so the harness has been lost over time . the lincoln had two wires i belive as did the electronic dash t bird.
