What brand of aftermarket digital gauges are you guys running? I will most likely be buying a few within the next few months. I want to make sure I get the best bang for buck, I've had too much bad luck with cheap shiznit lately :hick:
These are pictures of each side of rear of my LX. Using 1995 SN95 GT springs in the rear. Driver side can fit about one finger, while my fender gap on the passenger side is about 4 fingers. Pretty big difference. Is this just a matter of one side settling more than the other? Or maybe one side not settling correctly?
If you haven't heard, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May launched this new thing called DriveTribe. Basically, it's a social media platform for motoring and car enthusiast. It's brand new.
So far, I love it. Very similar to Tumblr, but instead of blogs it's "tribes". I actually launched a tribe dedicated to fox Tbirds and fox platform vehicles. Feel free to post on m tribe!
Hey guys, been a while. Still learning about my car so here goes my question...
I've got a buddy who is giving me a set of 3.55s and the differential out of his 2004 Mustang Mach 1.
I have an 8.8 with 3.08s according to the tag (to my knowledge out of an 88-93 Mustang 5.0) installed on my car.
Considering that nothing has been done to this 8.8 or anything in the rear for that matter, I should have 28 spline axles, right? And the 3.55s and Mach 1 differential install should work? Thanks guys.
Do you guys have small fire extinguishers in your cars? If so, I'm looking for ways and places to mount one in my 88. I was thinking on the front of the drivers seat right behind where our legs would be. That way it's easiest to snag in case shiznit hits the fan (not that I'm actually worried about my car catching fire). What do you guys have? Pics please.
Hello everyone! So I'm partiting in the crazy activity called DCI (Drum Corps International) which is basically the NFL of marching band.
I'll be touring the country rehearsing and performing shows every day of the summer with a drum corps called The Cavaliers. It's a non-stop tour that starts and ends in Indianapolis (final championships at Lucas oil stadium) going through Denver and even Texas. Needless to say, I'm more than excited to take part in it ( even though I'll be sleeping on an air mattress for the summer haha). I'll probably be on a brief break from the forum since I'll be traveling.
If you're interested, there's a link to The Cavaliers tour below. Each drum corps tour is slightly different.
I have a friend who is going to give me a deal on some coilovers made by Viking Performance and they are made for a fox mustang. These should work, correct?
I also plan to go with Maximum Motorsports caster camber plates, however; will fox mustang caster camber plates work? (more specifically UPR caster camber plates)
I'm also in need of new struts. What struts do you recommend for an 88 Bird with coilovers?
Thanks guys.. us american muscle guys no nothing about suspension, right? Straight lines? :burnout:
My father found a junkyard in Stanley, NC that just happened to be a 70s and 80s Ford paradise. The junkyard is no longer in business, the couple who owns it of old age and very sick. My dad met the couple because he is a cable technician for TWC. You can only get parts from them if you know them, and luckily my dad hit it off with them.
While my dad searched the yard, he found 3 87-88 Thunderbirds and 2 83-86 thunderbirds. Basically, there is a great deal of parts the people on this forum would want/need. He opened the door of one of the Thunderbirds, and he discovered a brand new, still in the box 87-88 LH headlight. We couldn't find the RH, but the chances are pretty small of coming across a brand new headlight for our cars I would assume because they have been discontinued all across the board.
This was given to me, but I'm not sure it's "for" me. Was going to dye it and may have a different patch put on, but would any of you be interested in this dash cover?
Special thanks to my father for all of his help and knowledge on windsor engines. And thanks to my brother for inspiring me to go balls deep into this car. I dedicate it to him
Mod list is in the description of the video and in my signature.
