Ahh...did not know that.  Probably because those cars didn't exist when I sold my 94 haha.  I hadn't heard of anybody using those on a Mark either since I've gotten mine and was looking for wheel choices for it.  Must not be popular with the Mark guys.

yep. Any wheel with a 5 X 108 bolt pattern will work :-)

*edit - Jaguars, Lincoln LS, some Land Rover, and some Volvo wheels, for example

The most common things on these cars you will be working on will be the lower door hinges, window motors, upper ball joints, and a few other little things.

As for wheels, you'll be limited.  It's an odd pattern that only the Tbird, Cougar, and Marks had.  You could do a hub swap, using SN-95/New Edge front wheel bearings and 03/04 Cobra rear hubs, which require a press to install.  After a hub swap though, you'll have a ton a choices in wheels.

Actually, any wheels from the '12-Current Ford Focus, '13-Current Fusion, '12-Current Ecape, and '12-Current Transit Connect will fit. Also, some Volvo wheels are available, as well. There's a lot available

What car, and what happened with the 97?

Welcome back.

Thanks

Check page 13 of this thread for what happened to the '97. Replaced it with the '05 Mustang for my wife, though.

I am looking at an '86 Escort GT that is the twin to my first car so I can use that as a base for another project.

A new project is in the works, now. Found the car I was looking for and trying to haggle with the guy to get the price I need in order to make it financially responsible for me :-)

Yup. It came with those when I bought it. $800 cars tend to have those things :hick:.

Still an awesome looking car, though :headbang:

I know just how you feel, Alan, about being took by somebody doing work for you. I'd have filed in small claims about my Thunderbird, but the *** that "worked" on my Thunderbird moved out of state and I would lose most of the money to lawyer fees to collect a long-arm judgment.

Is there a trade school, or vocational school in your area? If there is, bring the door and supplies to them for a cheap fix.

Wow, what a joke. No spacer on the rear of the engine caused the tq converter to lock up and push up against the bell housing, no bolts were in the tq convert. Things that shouldn't have been cut were cut off the side of the transmission.

If I would have known all of what was going to be messed up, I wouldn't have trusted the fool to work on a tricycle

That's crazy, man. It's been a long time since I have heard about somebody stealing cats around here. The s yards are supposed to do a lot more dospoogeenting of people that bring stuff in, so I reckon that's why I haven't heard too much about it anymore.
