1988 cougar LS dasgh pad

Have a 88 cougar LS that has a cracked dash pad-found a mint one in the junk yard. Question How do I remove dash pad and are there any special tools needed.

Check this link which is the procedure to replace the heater core, which requires removing the dash mounting hardware.
Whatever you do, DO NOT PRY THE SPEAKER GRILLS OUT. Bring a small piece of strong wire to fish inbetween the slots in the grill and pull up. If you pry at the grills along the edge, you'll crack your nice dash pad. Practice on your old one before going to pull the good one.

No special tools, but you will need a torx bit for a few screws.
