Curse of the Black Pearl

Yesterday after I got off work, I was headed to Pep Boys to get my wife a steering wheel cover. I came to a stop behind some traffic, and as usual I stopped a car length behind the car in front of me. Prior to coming to a complete stop I noticed a car a good 300 ft behind me, looked back forward, came to a complete stop and looked back in my mirror to see the car behind not stopping. You guessed it, I got rear ended in our new car. The wife had named the car "The Black Pearl".................

I'm having issues posting more pics. I'll do later.
Overall I'm glad he was in a small car too as it could've been a whole lot worse. I got a stiff neck but nothing major. And the car is repairable.

I am thinking not a careful driver to begin with, notice the scratches on the side of the front bumper that was not anywhere near the current collision?

How long have you had the car? My Focus was rear ended 6 weeks after I bought it while I was sitting at a red light. Oddly enough its been rear ended 4 times in the 6 years I've owned it. Each time sitting at a red light. Its had two bumpers (factory and a replacement) which have each been painted twice :hick:. The Mustang was two weeks old when someone hit the driver side quarter in a parking garage and ran.

I'm not sure how long the driver had the car as he is/was buying the car from his employer in which the car was registered and insured.

We've had the car right at 7 months. It's been in the shop for problems 3 times, 2 of those times it had to be towed in. My work is kinda pissed that I'm not bring the car in to the shop for the repairs, cause when they asked me, I asked them if I was going to be the one to do the repairs and to paint it because I didn't like how they painted before. All I heard was crickets.......

The rear body panel has to be replaced as well as the spare tire well. The exhaust is bent too.
For some reason, I can't post anymore pics.

In the 6 years I've owned the Focus since new it's only had to go in for regular maintenance and body work :hick:. Other than that nothing. Mustang had to have an air bag and shift selector replaced under recall but again just regular maintenance. Same thing with our 7 month old Accord.

It would seem you're not having the best of luck with this car. Hopefully it improves.
