Would like to find a set of black '87/'88 T-bird power mirrors for my '86 Cougar GS. I remember reading that the '87/'88 mirrors will fit on '83/'86 cars, and I think they look a little cooler than the '83/'86's. And I like the black T-bird ones over my Cougar's chromes. Thanks.
I have at least a good passenger side one right now and I am picking up another parts car this weekend. I think it has good ones as well.

I did pick it up on Saturday and it has a good drivers side mirror to match the passenger side one that I already had. I will ship you the pair for $85.

Was I correct when I mentioned that the '87/'88 mirrors will bolt right onto an '86? Or does something have to be removed? Is each mirror in 2 pieces (seems like there's a 'splitter' on your mirrors that mine doesn't have). Thanks again.
I do not know the answer to that question. I have never looked at a set of mirrors from an 86 model.
The splitters need removed. You should be able to then take the screws out of the splitters, and put those in the mirror housings to mount up like normal.

If the splitters can't be re-used on my car, then I actually only need the driver's side black mirror. I also need the triangle-shaped cover plate that hides the mirror mounting screws for the passenger side. Could you price me just the driver's mirror, and that cover if you have it? Thanks.
