Engine Tech / Need TC airbox pics
Who has a picture of the airbox installed on their TC....
got an idea, and I need to see an example..


I flipped the airbox over in my car. I think I can make this work by maybe using a TC airbox instead, but need to see it

Assembly / Disassembly How-to / head rest removal
Many people have been having problems removing their headrests.
The removal is simple....

I used an ordinary strip of sheet metal. took sand paper to remove the sharp edges, and inserted it in the front of the seat, along the headrest shaft..
It will stop when it hits the locking tab.... Then simply push down on the headrest and the strip of metal slightly at the same time. Once that goes down about an inch or so, hold on to the metal so it cant pull up when you pull up on the headrest. I should pull right out

Suspension/Steering / rear disk brakes
I know you need the E-brake connected to adjust the rear brakes from what I have heard... the question is, if the cable isn't connected, do you loose all braking in the back, or should you still have some brake? Looks like I need an adjustable prop valve too from what I can tell so far... or maybe I don't, depending on the answer to the above question.. but so far I have nothing working in the rear with the stock prop valve, and no E brake... I also wonder if the calipers are in working order too, now that I just got done typing this....
I will thank everyone in advance for their input on this... I only got  a couple things to get sorted before I can turn the key

Engine Tech / No Idea where this stuff goes
well, since I never had a v8 or an efi motor in a cougar..... I'm a little lost....

after deleting smog stuff and upgrading intakes.... I can't figure out where exactly some of this stuff goes....

first pic.... where do these 3 connect to.... 1 on the bottom and the 2 in the center.


next, where does this go? it's coming from the thingie on the back of the tower

2 vac lines coming from next to the  thingy on the strut tower.... the black one is labeled smog pump, but the white one is broken and is missing it's label


I seem to have more things then I have places to connect them..and some of it was poorly repaired.....
Is all this used with my new setup?


I'm sure this will be a piece of cake for everyone here... just remember, when you tell me where the stuff connects too.. that you tell me where it is. I have no clue what most of the stuff is called under here......but I can sure weld a car back together from a bunch of ss....lol

T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars WANTED / hard fuel lines needed...(Found)
Need the fuel lines that are on the frame under the pass fender for 302.EFI motor... they connect from the vinyl lines under the car to the chrome lines under the hood..... this part is keeping me from finishing the car.... and getting it running..

Body/Appearance/Interior / Door jamb decals
Does anyone know where, or how to duplicate all the stickers and decals on the inside of the door jambs? Or can anyone here duplicate them?
Mine are pretty decent, but if I could get new ones, I would replace them.

these, and the silver T-Bird /Cougar decals on the pass side, jamb.

Engine Tech / flexplate bolt size
I need to know what size bolts to order... but I'm on vacation and can't measure the bolts . Can anyone help? I would like to have them for next week to put the motor in the car...
Are they 7/16 X.680"?

Lounge / Facebook etiquette.
Ok, 20+ years ago, I dated a girl for about 6 years. After we went our separate ways, I realized she was following me around for quite some time. kinda stalking from a distance. Since then, we both have gotten married and have families of our own. recently, she appeared on Facebook and my mom has accepted her friend request.  She sent me one, but I have yet to respond either way.

What is the proper etiquette for this situation?
Do I.....

1. ignore her request

2. un-friend my mom for getting me in this awkward situation

3. accept her request so I don't come off as an ass

Engine Tech / putting it back together
I need to know the order to put the motor back together, so I don't do something stupid, and have to waste time to take it back off again.

The heads, oil pan, and timing chain cover are already on.

Suspension/Steering / Brake lines
Got everything I need for the new lines.... Big question today...

I don't have a diagram of where the brake lines run to, and from.

the 87 MC has 3 lines coming out of it. 2 for the proportioning block, and one straight out of the bottom.

Where does the one coming straight out the bottom run to, and where do the left and right lines lead to off the proportioning block. I should have probably wrote down where they went. lol

I thought I could look in the vert, but it has a diff MC setup.
