Dunno bud, I pretty much yanked the AOD and sold it quick.  Not willing to play with that POS

Maybe make sure your pressure is okay?

In normal everyday driving if everything is working properly; you will not notice a higher stall converter....

Maybe something has worked it's way loose? Wire chafed somewhere?

Is the TV cable still connected properly? You know how they fall apart. If it's still connected, is it and its linkage moving properly?

TV cable stuff aside, it sounds to me like you need a tranny. It's probably slipping in first gear, and takes off when it shifts into second.

Do a 5-speed swap and be done with it :hick:

See this is exactly why I'm contemplating a C4 or a T-5 (probably the latter of the two)

OD is definitely a big plus in a daily driver.  All you people encouraging T5 swap, I rise to remark some of us are incredibly lazy. :p

Not to mention you can build a c4 to smoke the t-5 on the track. Expensive but crazy shifting. And we can still be lazy and let the girlfriend drive home from the bar.

No, real cars go fast, dont lose boost from having to let off to shift, dont hit rev limiters or over rev while shifting because you stayed in it while pushing the clutch in. =)

the whole deal that its slipping, in general.  either it could be eased by a fluid change, but inevitably its going to croak.  infact i'd advise you to decide what transmission your ganna use, and get it ready for the swap within the next 3-6 months.  you definatly want to get rid of an AOD that slips.. even when you bring one back from death, it acts like what your describing right before it dies.

"get your affairs in order" so to speak.
