T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars FOR SALE / 86 TC parts car part out
I'll check on the fender for rust tomorrow.

I might have a good raven carpet from another source.  Have to visit him tomorrow early.

Sorry I didn't get back with anyone today.  Was busy with unemp. office and working on my 88.  Felt good to at least get something installed on her.

live fast - I might be able to produce a second set of 10 holes this week, I'll keep you posted.

mcford - dash cluster?  I'm only keeping the dashpad if that's what it's called.

Rages - let me see how easy it is to get off and if I don't destroy it, I'll get you a price.

Sumthin - the grille is pending, but the rest should be good to go.

PM me with your emails and I will get you better pics of your items for a final decision.

T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars FOR SALE / 86 TC parts car part out
I got an 86 TC to get my 88 on the road. There are some parts that I am keeping, but the rest can go.

Parts I'm keeping: engine, dash, springs, and 10 hole rims

The trans was gone when I got it but the bellhousing was still there. Interior is mostly destroyed and smells of cat/mouse urine. But there might be some parts someone needs. I'll get pics tomorrow. It's been so long since I have been in the TC scene that I don't know what things go for. Just shoot me what you might need and a price. I will most likely take it.

T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars WANTED / pistons
If you still need them, I have a set in storage that I can dig out for you.  PM me with your email address if you are still interested.  The pistons are still on the rods.

yeah, I was going to use the longer rods but all the aftermarket ones are made for a chevy pin.  Then leads to custom made pistons and such.  $850 bucks for a freaking set of pistons is a joke.  As far as the heads, I have the closed chamber 4v heads as well.  I tried tracking a set of the pistons that take the 6" rod from australia and they were $700 AUS(550 usd) then lets not forget the shipping and taxes...  so after you get them here, they are as much as the custom pistons and will take just as long... my assembly will be lightened and balanced as well.  But there is 2 things that you should take into consideration.  1, to make best use of the closed chamber heads.  You might want to check the deck clearance with the pistons.  The speed pro stock replacement forged flat tops have a .029.  With a typical head gasket thickness of .041 you end up with too much area for the quench and makes it more pr0ne to knock.  Get the block milled to 0.  2, check into the things that somender singh has done.  Basically he takes a triangle file and makes a groove in the quench area across from the plug making the flame front spread faster to the quench.  Thus giving a better, all over burn.  There have been several people praise of doing this by getting increase in mileage and performance... I certainally will be doing this with my cleveland.

after much deliberation and reading... my long rod/stock stroke combo, alum heads, and XE block from australia have been thrown out the door  So I might ened up with something a little cheaper but should still perform as well with all cast stuff...

for the record, the C is NOT a big block... the head fit on a W block, they have a SB bellhousing pattern, they have small main journals... the only thing that they share with big blocks is the overall size of the heads, ports, and valve sizes...  There is one block that does skew the defining line... and that's the "400 FMX", it has all the outside sizes of the 400/351M but has a small block bellhousing pattern on it... not many were made but I ended up with one...

well, I guess mine will make the 5th 351c powered bird I have seen now... but mine is a TC, just waiting on the insurance check to get here to start ordering parts so I can drive her after 5 years and be at the WFC this year...

*edit* I also am shooting for 12's... 12.99 and 12.00.. anything faster and I'm gonna slow it down because I know I'll get stupid in it.

Engine Swapping / 351c?
let me dig around and I'll see if I still have the pics of the ones that I have seen forsale on ebay.  Oh, and Tom is right... the 335 series is considered small block but the 351M/400's have the big block bellhousing pattern minus the overly oddball one I have in the shed that has the small block pattern.
