Archive & Library (Read Only) / Ignition swtich Pigtail!
Yup you guys got that right the wires and plug for the ignition switch. We seem to have so many problems with the ignition switch. Well a major part of that is the pigtail that plugs into it. I've purchased a new one and thought I would share the info. The Borg Warner part number is PT5534 and here is a pic of what you'll get

Engine Tech / It just died! FIXED Updated 7/28/2010
Ok over my last couple of days of I took Da Bird out testing and tuning!  everything was going good. Then it seemed like if I hit Upper RPM it would just fall flat. So I pulled over made sure the Dizzy wasn't loose or something funny under the hood and all was good. So I took off towards home and I guess stepped on it more than I thought because I took off like crazy! I was thinkin YES that is it. slaped it in 2nd got on it a hair and wanted to rip so I just headed for the house for a good once over before anything serious rodding. Then the motor just shut off. The whole car was on the motor wasn't running. Tried to roll start it in 3rd and just slowed me down. Pushed in the clutch and hit the starter. Motor spinin but not starting. Coast home and push her the last 20-30 feet. I'm thinkin the TFI so I put on my spare that I know is good and still cranking but not starting. I did notice the tac wasn't jumping during cranking so I took and warrantied the Dizzy and got a new one thinking PIck up coil. Slid the new dizzy in and hooked it all up and still motor spining but not starting dizzy is jumping. I need to get a timing light to set it once I'm up and running. Even with the Pil pulled and moving the Dizzy cant get it running and YES the fuel pumps are running! Yes there is good gas in the tank! anyone have any ideas?

I just got a letter today from the storage place I have my 85 cougar at. I know it isn't much money $10/month but I need to figure out what to do with it. It is a real slick car just needs some TLC. 85XR7 2.3T Auto Floor shift. White with the Gray stripes at the bottom. Leather interior in fair shape. The motor is toast. The head is cracked and the #3 piston has a piece missing and score marks in the cylinder walls. The biggest problem I have is that I never received the Title form the owner as they didn't have it from the Bank yet. I did get a Bill of sale:


Just very short on cash but want to keep the car. Anyone have any ideas. I've talked to the local DMV and they told me that the P.O. only had 30days to get me the title and I told them it has been 4-5yrs and the lady told me to talk to the prosecuting attorney! I don't want to case problems but I really want this car. It is so nice and it would fit right in next to my 84 Turbo coupe. I've looked and can't seem to find those P.O.'s to talk with them. I'll get some pics maybe tomorrow. Wishing I could get something done with this one. 4 eyed early COUGAR 2.3Turbo.

Lounge / What could it Be that I see! 56K DIAL UP HELL!
I was at work the other day! I look out the window and what is it that I see. It is an old Fox Cougar Staring back at ME! Yes it was. I wanted to find the owner and I did. I talked to him and it is an 84. I told him that is a nice looking old Cougar and he gave me a twisted look like WTF are you talking about. He even pointed and asked you are talking about my COUGAR right? I told Yes your cougar. Oh that old car came from my brother after he took it back from his daughter that had been caught up in the Drug scene. So the interior parts are all pulled away from the metal. When you see the pics you will start to understand Why he had to make sure I was talking about his cougar. I sure know how to Pic a winner!


Oh and now the other cars on the way to the Cruise in Branson MO



There were many more than was the only time I had to jump out and get some pics. The old gut just couldn't believe that with those other cars there I was talking about his Cougar. Never know he might come on here and check us out. I gave him our addy.

Here is a good place for info on Ford fuel injection. If has a lots of it too. It will give you a break down and basicly show how and what to test when testing various sensors in your system.

Lounge / Board and what todo?
I have to wrap a package I need to send off with some parts for a Bud! What to do? Kinda board and have lot of funny ideas just bouncing around. So why not! Messin with the Postage Person! Sounds like fun to me! So this is what I had in mind.







All that and find out it is cheaper to use there BOX! LOL I guess that is how the turd rolls! hope he has a laugh when he gets his parts.
