I'm loving my decision to get into reloading. Cheap 9mm FMJ is going for .90/per when you can find it, but since I'm pre-supplied on small pistol and small rifle primers, I'm loading 9mm for .15/per, and likewise 300BLK $2/per, but I'm making it for about .50/per. I'd like better selection of .355 and .308 bullets, but I'm not going without. Glad I already had primers though, they're practically unobtanium now.
Finished up a pretty cool PCC build for the wife. 10" 9mm AR pistol. Took a bit to work out some feeding issues, but now it's reliable. Even eats my reloads, though I can't find small pistol primers right now. I've started developing a PCC specific load using small rifle primers in the mean time. Also added a 10.5" 300BLK build. Next we're getting a P320 for the wife; I prefer Walther, but the Sig is the only pistol she can hit the wide face of a standard dairy barn with. I joke, but she can shoot the wings off a mosquito with that AR.
Edit: Sig didn't happen. Unemployment happened instead.
Some things are worth waiting for, like aluminum heads. Other things, like E7's are not worth waiting for. Don't settle for garbage, hold out for the heads you want.
Go ahead and grab the 83 EVTM from my signature, but I don't have anything for the Mustang side of that. You might be able to get pretty close with the 88 EVTM.
Yours stock MC is either 3/4 or 7/8 bore, where you're going to need a 1" bore MC. The booster swap improves pedal feel, and reduces the massive right leg workout you'll get if you use the stock booster. The SN-95 booster and Cobra MC in my car combined with my brake choices and the prop valve I used, give a very OE Cobra pedal feel. They feel neither under, nor over boosted. It could have only been better it I converted to all braided stainless hoses. It's like I stole Baby Bear's brake parts.
Don't forget that the original master is 3 lines, the 93 cobra master is 2, and the factory prop valve inturrupts the right front line; a fact that made the disc/disc prop valve idea all the more attractive. I'd advise an ambitious wrench looking to pull this job to get a good flaring kit that includes ISO bubble flare tools. Its better to make lines than try to find adapters.
Don't forget to use a proper booster. The matching 93 cobra unit is ideal, but I used the V6 SN95 booster and only had to oblong 1 hole in the firewall. I did mine recently, and found that the 93 booster was practically unobtainium. Everybody also seems to want to use an adjustable prop valve, but I didn't want to dick around with adjusting brake bias.
Also: I used 99-04 parts and did not have to shorten the inner tie rods.
