I think I fugged up help quick

Hey guys so I installed the crank and bolted everything down and  rotated the engine to see everyting was good but the timing chain was not installed. So now the engine is out of time right how can I put is back together and set the cam correctly I dont have a degree wheel thanks guys lmk.

You won't need a degree wheel, at least unless you have an adjustable timing set.  There are marks on the cam, crank, and thier corresponding sprockets for the timing chain.  At TDC, the keyway on the crank and the pin on the cam should point toward each other (crank key pointing up, cam pin pointing down).  Also, when you install the timing set, to make sure it's right, there will be a dot on each sprocket.  Those, too have to point inward and line up with each other.  Let me find a pic and I'll post it.

You're working on a 5.0, right?  In any case, the procedure is similar on a 3.8

Im working in a 5.8 but its the same as a 5.0 basicly thanks.
