FS or Trade: '86 Turbo Coupe for 5.0 HO and AOD

I don't know if anyone would be interested or not, but I'm wanting to trade my Turbo Coupe for a fuel injected 5.0 HO with an AOD tranny (in a car or not). This setup will be going in my '62 Ranchero, and I'd like something a little better than stock (or at least something with low miles if it's bone stock). Here are the details.

'86 T-Bird Turbo Coupe
2.3L 4 cylinder engine
5 speed
turbocharged (non-intercooled)

Options: Power windows, power locks, power windows, power steering, power antenna, dual power seats, tilt, cruise, automatic headlight dimmer, automatic headlamps, illuminated entry, keyless entry (keypad on door), AM/FM/Cassette, premium sound, leather, intermittent wipers, rear defrost, map lights, interior lighting package (door courtesy lamps, rear courtesy lamps), Marchal fog lamps

Bad: Needs a clutch (included), needs p/s window motor (included), engine developed a miss (believe I may know the cause), power antenna only works sometimes (believe the mast needs replaced), leather driver's seat torn, rust-through on bottom of doors (mostly driver's door), some surface rust in spots around the body, cooling fan needs rewired or replaced (have extra fan), needs motor mounts (solid motor mounts included)

Good: New (used) steering rack, brand new 3" custom exhaust, brand new heater core, new plugs, new wires, brand new brakes all the way around, cooling system flushed less than 500 miles ago, oil changed within the last 500 miles, replaced exhaust manifold within 500 miles

For the right engine/tranny, I'll include the following:

Extras that aren't here yet: '87 Turbo Coupe rolling chassis - bought this for the body, which is in very good shape. This car has a set of 4 rear tubular control arms (upper/lower), 3.73" Ford MotorSport rear end gears, 2 sets of red cloth interior, extra decklid, extra sunroof w/motor, and a set of 16" snowflake rims w/almost new tires on it. Ranger Roller cam w/followers (unsure of miles)

Other extras: '86 TC parts car (in pieces, and some pieces are missing), '85 T-Bird Elan 5.0 (also missing some pieces, and crankshaft is snapped), 1-16" Super Coupe wheel & tire4-1/2 sets of extra wheels/tires (including the ones on both cars), and alot of extra parts taken from the '86 TC parts car.

If anyone's interested in doing some trading (I have NO cash to spend, either), then please PM me or email me at corder1979@hotmail.com and let me know. Depending on the setup in question, I would be willing to throw in some or all of the extras for the right trade. I'll also sell just the Turbo Coupe and parts it needs to be fixed for $1500. Thanks.

I forgot, the car got tagged yesterday (no plates). It has to be picked up by Monday at 1:30 pm or it'll end up getting towed to the junkyard. :(

If you were a lot closer, I'd at least consider offering an engine and non-OD tranny.. but:

1) You're way too far away for my means, and
2) The engine and tranny I have available aren't what you're looking for.

I hope you can at least find a way to avoid having it towed.. that really sucks. I keep my V8 Bird parked facing the road, and my V6 Bird parked in front of it, facing away from the road, and hope that that's enough to keep the county off my back. There's NO way I can afford a tag for my second Bird right now.. it's something like $150-180 for a new tag down here, on top of whatever the title transfer will cost. (something like $30 including tax on the sale, listed as a $100 sale)

Yeah, I hope so, too.  However, I doubt I'll be able to do anything with it in time.  If I had a week or so, maybe, but 3 days I wouldn't count on it.  :(

I'll accept other trades as well.  Even other engine/tranny combos.  I would still like to keep it small block, though, and it will HAVE to be an automatic.  Please let me know what you have.

I have a carbed (4v) 351W from an '87 van, and the C6 that went behind it. Someone else from the Tampa area (90 miles north of me) expressed interest in the C6, but I need to get some good pics posted of it. I am undecided on whether I'll use the 351W in my '88 Bird or perhaps build up the 302 in it now. I'd prefer the 351W, but it would require (by my plans) conversion to SEFI.. which is money that could be better used on hopping up the already-EFI 302.

Regardless, you're too far away for me to do anything. Getting the '88 Bird here was a nightmare that almost got me killed, and that was only a 180 mile trip. It's almost 300 miles just to get across state lines from where I live.

No problem.  The second part in my last reply was actually to everyone.  :)  Thank you for responding, though.

Back up again. Deal fell through.  I have the built AOD, now I just need a really good running 302 HO. Anyone have one that they'd trade for the car?
