Engine Tech / Re: manual computer with aod
From what I have heard it will work, but not well.  A manuel trans engine computer delivers less fuel at idle because their is virtually no load when in neutral or with the clutch disengaged then an auto where the engine must constantly spin the TQ and input shaft, pump,  etc... of the trans.

General Computer Forum / Re: Dell Computers
Thanks bq, sadly that offer only seems to extend to american customers.  They are however offering a Candain deal untill the 28.  Check out dell.ca for the canucks out their.

Also anyone have a preference over skreen size.  Will a 12" cause me to concentrate so hard I go blind after typing 20 pages?

Does anyone have an oppinion on Dell labtops?  I am currently shopping for a laptop for a combination of work, school, and DvD watching :)

Dell of canada is offering employees of my company interst free financing so I was thinking of going with the inspiration series notebooks.

How much ram should I get?
What's better Celleron (sp?) of pentium processors?
How long to the lithium batteries REALLY last on those maschines?

My primary uses of this maschine will be sufing the net, running powerpoint presentations, and watching DVD's, posting on messageboards and word processing.  No serious gameing of other graphical needs.

Are their better PC notebooks out their? Cheeper?

Thanks for helping me out with any info / oppinions.
I know very little about computers.

Suspension/Steering / Re: Favorite tire
Car: Goodyear regatta II (daily drivers) ... pretty cheep, good in the rain and snow.
Winter:  Nordic Ice Trackers with 1/8" studs ... unbelieveable traction.  Better then 4X4 trucks with cheep tires
Performance:  Goodyear Eagles V rated :)  Therir are probably better ones but that it          whats on the cougar
Truck:  Roughrider Allterrain  (came with the truck)  Their pretty good.

Lounge / Re: Guess What I Have!!!
First snow here was October 12.  And the last snowfall (in spring) was May 13, so I only get 5 months without snow :(    I think that must be a record around here.
Today it was -10 this morning.  With freezing rain yesterday

This weather is crazy.
