I'm in the process of starting it on mine and want to remove these solenoids. I know the one with the blue vacuum hose is for the idle air. But the rest are all emissions right?
for anyone here that isn't already following my build on facebook and instagram, I figured I'd post it here. Bought this from the original owners nephew. the car has just rolled over 100k kms (60k miles) The cat has been garage stored all its life and had no winters. It was 100% original, down to the factory ler, plugs, wires and even rad hoses. I am slowly building it into a cruising car and will eventually be swapping a 5.3L or 6.0L LS into it but for now I just want to cruise with it and take to shows. so far I have added a full exhaust including BBK 1 5/8 inch headers, 2.5 inch O/R H pipe, 2 chamber lers and 2.5 inch flowmaster LX pipes with 3 inch Magnaflow tips. Got rid of the 3 belts on the front of the engine and switch to a newer serpentine set up and added a blue hose kit. the heater hoses are all going to be braided stainless. since i added the duals i had to get rid of the dual fuel pump set up and installed a 155 LPH Walbro in the tank. (i was very suprised to see the inside of the tank still looks like brand new crazy) I also put chrome17" cobra rims on it with 245/45/17 tires on the front and 275/40/17 tires on the deep dish rears. added my custom A pillar pod and gauge cluster and filled them with Autometer phantom gauges. then installed a B&M Hammer shifter and molded it into the factory console to make it look as factory installed as possible. the engine bay is hideous and covered it Ziebat which i am slowly working at cleaning up. i just ordered new aluminium Ford Racing finned valve covers along with a full tune up kit. i have a rebuilt mustang 8.8 with 3.73s that i will be installing very soon. i will upload a few pics here to give anyone interested in this build an idea of where its going, but if you want to see the full build and follow along I'd say add me on facebook (Rj DeWitt) or instagram (xnitewolf79x) and let me know you're from here so i know to accept you. if you read all this, I'm impressed, sorry its so long lol.

ok I know I should know this but what wires should I be running through the Voltmeter to have the alternator charge. worked perfectly fine before the gauges, and now no power is getting to alternator. jumpered the alternator and it works fine and even changed the regulator. I know it has something to do with how I hooked up the gauges.
Ok guys. Been reading all I can find on this. I swapped the Fox mustang 8.8 into my Bird last weekend. Now I can swap over the axles, backing plates and brakes for a stock width wheel track right?
Need a set of back quarter windows for an 84 thunderbird. Previous owner or someone etched roses into the ones on my tbird. Want them gone. Let me know what you have. Pics will help too.
it is currently powered by a stock 302 with 79,000kms (47,000 miles). I have added a set of headers and off road h pipe and 2.5" flowmasters. I have also done the Mustang 11" front brake upgrade with a crown vic master cylinder and Lincoln 73mm calipers. also put new struts in the front. picked up a 1994 351W that I am currently collecting parts to drop it in with a carb.
Anyone know the stock ohms level on the gauge sender in an '88 t bird? Empty- full. I know Eric must know as he did the autometer cluster, which is what I am doing. Need to know the ohms range so I can order the proper gauge
need the stereo surrond for a console car, and the console plate for a car with no power seats, but power mirrors and windows. car is an '88 t bird. could also use the steering column covers for a floor shift car, and buttstuffog gauges.

hey guys aint been on here in forever, and looking through some of these threads and seeing that idiot big b's posts i can see Im not missing much, but I figured I would show off a new hood I started building lately started with a damaged goodmark steel cowl hood for an '85 Camaro and a stock Tbird hood.
test fitting the cut out section: that was as far as I got for a few weeks as I was working on other projects with the bird. but today I decided to get off my ass and get some work done. got further then I planned to in a few hours worth of work.
i am almost done welding, just need to cut out a support underneath and weld the cowl support to the remains of the cut section, then weld along the back and buff off, then bodywork time.
Will these fit the SO 302? I know they say they wont fit the '86 HO with out valve reliefs, but the so does have slight dishes in the piston. guess the only way to find out is bolt em up and check.:hick:
