i heard that the 5.0 explorers had a version of the gt-40 heads, the gt-40p's is this true? and would they work on a '78 351w? thanks for the help guys
i was at the local junk yard the other day and i found a turbo coupe hood in perfect condition for $50 i was thinking of buying it but i don't think it will clear my motor (351) because of the scoops. anyone looking for one?
i recently purchased the ford racing 351w swap oil pan and a set of MAC shorty headers for my 85 cat and a was showing them to my buddy who proceded to tell me that the oil pan of a 83-87 ltd crown vic will work as will the stock shorty headers off of a 80's mustang gt. Is this correct??? if so the guy at the parts store said that as long as i keep the boxes for the headers and oil pan i can return it and save some money..
i was wondering if anyone could help with a problem i have... here it goes...i recently put a 351w into my 85 cougar but now i can't figure out how to wire in the durasparkII ignition, i guess a wiring diagram would help but where would i find one for a project like this. I hate electrical stuff (color blind). someone please help.
i was wondering if anyone could share their engine swapping know-how...what parts will i need to drop a 1978 cougar 351w into a former v6 85 cougar, also what should i do with all the electrical shiznit under the hood. i plan on using the duraspark off the 78.
