The Duratec engine is a Cosworth casted engine. This is important if you are an F1 viewer. Cosworth makes some of the best engine in F1 and world class indy and GT class racing. Ford outsourced the engine design to Cosworth of England for production. This allowed extremely close tolerances and extremely high durability ratings, according to Cosworth near 1.2 million continuous miles. This is the reason for the "DURATEC" nomenclature. Combined with the powertrain in the cougar the combination is capable of much more power than what the engine is producing. The production cougar was kept under 190 HP to not step on the shoes of the Mustang. The Duratec engine is a DOHC 24 Valve engine with a chain driven timing system.

Some of the stuff he says is wrong but if you want to read more

An interesting read i found on the New Edges, i know not may people give two shiznits about it, i always thought the DURATEC was a mazda engine.

Go out of your way to learn.  Watch, ask questions, ask to be taught?  Have you tried that?  Sometimes they only want to invest in those they're sure will be around for a while.  Nothing worse than teaching someone who bolts.

Asking to be taught is the only way to be taught so yes, the place is just off kilter there is a lot of favoritism going on there its all good though. I look at it this way at least i still have a job.

Are the people above you respectible enough to where you should want to invest enough time and energy to get promoted?

No one wishes to teach me to stack or check trucks at the place i work and both of those are essential to me becoming a crew leader.
