Matte Black: Wrap or paint job?

I'm in the Orlando, FL area and looking to get my boyfriend's cougar painted as a Christmas present. He's been wanting a matte black and has mentioned getting the wrap done. Has anyone had any experience with this? What would you recommend?

Make sure the body is in good shape, no dents or rust holes, have it painted Hot Rod black (kind of a satin black). Done deal.

depends on the existing paint.

if the current paint is quite good, i'd probably go with a wrap.
easier to undo it at a later date and still looks real nice.

a cheap satin/matte black paint job won't last, it'll fade and be difficult to clean. more expensive paint jobs will improve things.

if the current paint is average at best, a re-paint would be the go.
