Title: anti knock sensor
Post by: midnight cat on August 01, 2022, 01:59:41 PM
My 1986 Cougar has the 3.8L.  Does the car have a anti knock sensor? I called Autozone and they said the car never had one. Is that correct?  Or maybe it's called a knock detonation sensor? Can someone verify if Autozone is correct.  Thanks!

Knock sensor is only shown on the '86 2.3L Turbo Coupe, in the EVTM.

According to the 86 3.8 ECS booklet only a few very early mustangs/capris had them, doesnt even show the location if they did.
