Here it is the 18th and we are just now getting color. Up until last week we were still in the 80's but we've had some freezing nights in the last few days.
My 86 would stall, it has the CFI. As it turned out it was a bad fuel pump. It would restart and run but would often stall especially when cold. The last time it stalled was the last time on a tow truck. It would not restart. I changed the pump and all was well. I never checked the fuel pressure but I'm possitive it was low. It should be 39 psi or so. If you have the efi engine I'm pretty sure the stock pressure is supposed to be 39 as well.
I don't remember when Ford switched to EFI from the CFI.
I'm going to chime in since I'm close to getting started on my 86. I think all the cars look great without the moulding but I'm torn. My mouldings are not beat up but the "plastic" chrome is all gone. I like ivygreen's body color bumpers with that color too. I have a taupe car and the black mouldings make it look fat. So I'm soooo confused. I'm probably going white but too much white will be bad. Painting is way off.
I hate this thread. It not making decisions easy. Eric's vert is fantastic. You can park it in my garage anytime.
