I have been using it for a few weeks...and it's broken already.  I have completely lost the tabs and toolbar.  All I have is the menubar, which I have to press Alt to access (I think it's too ugly to have it shown all the time, and it wasn't a problem before the toolbar died)  One of these days I will try to fix it.  I tried reinstalling and it didn't help.  Next step is uninstalling then reinstalling, and if that doesn't work, i'm going back to 6.

I used it for about three minutes, then discovered that it borked my Mitchell OnDemand. I didn't much like it anyway - I dain't play with it much, but I didn't like the fact that it always asked me whether to open a popup, rather than giving me an "always allow popups for this site" option. My start page is a page I made myself, stored on my hard drive, with links to all my favourite sites, and I made this start page so that it opens the links in a  new window (or tab). IE would simply NOT accept the fact that popups were OK by me, and would not let me make it so. I found it rather stupid that it would take such an aggresive stance against "active" popups anyway. I can see blocking popups that load automatically when a page loads, or when it is closed, but blocking popups when a mouse click requests them is stupid. Many sites open a popup when a certain option is selected, including this one (when you click on "manage atachments"). It's annoying to have to give permission every ed time.

Luckily it uninstalled just as easily as it installed.

I use Firefox

Well I uninstalled IE7, restarted, checked that I had IE6. Good.  So I thought I'd give IE7 one more chance for the tabs to work again.  Reinstalled IE7, restarted.  Open IE7, no tabs.  I figured I'd uninstall it this morning, left the computer running overnight (like normal) woke up this morning and the tabs are back, how bizzarre.  So, for now, I like IE7.

IE7 vs. FF2

I am a long time Firefox/Mozilla user who truly dislikes IE period. And I hate to say it but IE is starting to win me over. The new tab button is pretty sweet and I really like the thumbnail preview tab. Not to mention it is faster than the previous IEs. Firefox 2 is constantly locking up on me on a regular basis. If it wasn't for FF's sweet right click options I'd drop it right now... or at least until an update is released. But this comp won't pass validation yet so I'm stuck with Firefox 2. :grinno:

Apparently MS has decided that IE7 is a "critical update". I keep getting the "New updates are ready to install" system tray notification. I wonder if the final release version works any better with Mitchell OnDemand? I guess I'll find out eventually...

I just plain don't like IE, and I never use it unless I have to do something windows related... which is hardly ever... no Firefox 2 is the best I have used so far... that and maxthon.
