I think the perimeter of this cluster of members is a little larger than one that would allow an hour and 15 minute trip for those at the edges. Red Lion, PA offers that time or less for most but not bleavitt.  A location better for bleavitt is too far for some in PA.  I looked at Churchville and Bel Air MD but those locations are around an hour and 40 minutes for a few folks at both ends of the spread.
Maybe we can find a park and cruise-in at Red Lion and anther park and cruise-in closer to DC on two different dates.  I would aim to attend both and it would be cool if those of us in the middle could attend both.  Being close makes attendance more reasonably achievable for people and increases our chance of good turnout.

Unless we plan a overnight at a inexpensive hotel and make it a wider scope.  I wonder if those who are further out would be more amenable to the trip if they could stay over and cruise the next day?  Could also make it a family thing if we do it during warm weather and find a place where the kids could sit and play in a pool all day while we do the car thing.  Just putting it out there......

Honestly, it takes me a good couple of hours to make it to Baltimore, and I probably wouldn't be able to make time for a two day trip, so I would say move it farther north and count me out of this one.  You'll get more attendance with the PA folks, and possibly NJ/NY folks.

June 27th there is a cruise-in at Shrewsbury. I've heard even though this is a cruise-in, it's huge. Like 700 cars huge. I'm not sure if the Sonic Cruise nights are the same size but here are the dates for both. There are probably parks nearby we could look at too so we could do the park thing during the day and the cruise in the evening like Eric arranged for Cat Jams on Saturdays. If we do one the end of this month, or early next month, that gives us a lot of daylight hours to minimize the amount of night time driving on the return trip. It also makes it possible for all of us to get home by 9pm and still have a full day of fun. Red Lion seems to be in the middle for those on the perimeter on both Maryland and PA ends of this spread. Shrewsbury adds some time for those in PA so I'd be inclined to shoot for Red Lion if everyone in this group can make it. For example there's less sense in having a gathering in PA if the MD folks are the only ones who can attend.

Hmm, well if we had a full day of fun on Saturday and nothing on Sunday would it still be worth an overnight?  Or perhaps hang with one or two members who live along your return path such as the Philly or NJ folks on Sunday.

This place is in my area http://www.cascadelake.com/ but this approaches a two-hour trip for those near Philly and Fleetwood.  But if everyone's game, this could offer a good option.  I haven't been there since I was a kid and I don't know how crowded it gets.  I suspect it gets crowded since this area is always growing.

This park has a pool but the web page manages expectations stating the pool reaches capacity on weekends and holidays during the summer.  And of course swimming in the lake isn't allowed.  It's a longer trip for some in PA though.

I am game for a get-together at a park. The cruise-in is cool but my T-Bird isn't a show car by any stretch of the imagination. I have never been to Codorus park but it looks to offer plenty of areas to picnic. I can be to Hanover in a little under an hour. Add another 20 minutes or so and I would be there.

No. I am now though. Looks like a good show. It also seems to be a midpoint, albeit farther away, between us in Maryland and those members near NYC.

I haven't looked at the map in a while but it looks like a few more have pegged the map in our region.  We have 11 pins so far.

Ford nationals in Carlisle should be First weekend in June. 2015 is going to feature Thunderbirds. The T Birds had a pretty small showing this last year. Only 8 in my class (80-90) , quite a bit more in the turbo class. The 2014 meet featured Mustangs. There must have been over 1000 of them.

We're up to 14-ish people on this forum within the Philly-DC-Harrisburg-Baltimore-Allentown region.

Page 15 and 16 have the cruise-ins listed.

I used this site http://www.geomidpoint.com/

The following locations are the results from entering the 14 pin locations folks here have posted on ZeeMaps.

center of minimum distance: 2800-2844 Stockton Road Phoenix, MD 21131, USA

midpoint: 1141 Walters Mill Road Forest Hill, MD 21050, USA

In/around Jarrettsville, MD appears to be half way between those two locations.
