Body/Appearance/Interior / 83-84 Gauge faces?
Anyone want to work up a file for me?  I just don't have the time to try and alter any.  Not sure what you need to start with (a high res scan of an existing face?).

I'm wanting to do up a "silver" set for the 80 (which is using an 83-84 cluster) and the originals were silver and a little different...PM me or email me (cwarren@indy.net)

Also, having the file would then allow for a 140-150 mph face to be made (I can have a speedo recalibrated) for one of the others.

Vendor's Section / HD Poly Motor mounts for TurboCoupes and XR-7s
HD POLY MOTOR MOUNTS  - 2 STYLES!

Well, I figured I'd post this here as well, even though I know there are few 2.3T guys here.  I'm taking orders for my latest batch of poly motor mounts for the 2.3T's for the 83-88TC's and 84-86 XR-7's.    Here’s the rundown.

Style 1Fits SVO’s, Mustangs (79-93) and early TC’s/XR-7’s (83-85).  These are also good for pretty much any of the “other” Fox-chassied cars with a 2.3 not covered by another part number.  They do not work with the I-6 K-member.

These have been redesigned to no longer require the factory “adapter” plates to be able to mount them in any of the cars using the big square motor mounts (i.e. SVO’s, early 2.3’s).  All mounting hardware is provided.

No photo currently availiable of the Style 1’s with the new bases.

Style 2Fits 86-88 TurboCoupes.  These remain unchanged from previous batches.  All mounting hardware is provided.

All styles of the mounts come with HD polyurethane isolators and all mounting hardware and installation instructions.  All styles are zinc-chromate plated to corrosion resistance.  As mentioned, these motor mounts use polyurethane isolators and are offered as high-performance items.  There will be some increased vibration noticed after their installation.  It is most noticeable at idle, but the benefit is a stronger mount that holds the engine more securely.

Price:  Both styles are $125US plus shipping and handling.

Ordering instructions:

This thread is to ask any questions you may have regarding the mounts and their applications, not for placing orders.  To order a set you need to do one of the following (in order of preference):

1. Send me an email (cwarren@indy.net) with the following information, Name, address, year/type of vehicle.
2. Send me a PM with the above information PLUS a contact email.

Stating that you want a set in this thread without doing either of the following does not place your order.  Also, the reason for requiring the email address is that throughout the process I email the group with updates to keep you all informed of the progress.

Onto the process for those who are not familiar with how I do this.  I do not order a bunch of material and have it sitting around here in boxes waiting to go, I just can’t work things that way.  So what happens is that I keep ordering open for 2-3 weeks.  After that time ordering is “officially” closed for the batch as I use the orders to determine what I need to order in regards to materials (such as lasered pieces and hardware, etc).  Generally I buy enough material to build a couple extra sets, which are first come first served.  Payment is not due until 2-3 weeks after ordering is closed.  Once I start getting materials, the manufacturing begins.  So as you can see, it is not a “speedy” process, but that’s the way this works.  The average timeframe from the beginning or ordering to shipping is approx 8 weeks.  There may come a time when I “stock” a few sets, but I can’t do that right now.  Everyone who has placed an order with me has received their mounts.

Payment is to be by PayPal (cwarren@indy.net) or M.O. or cashier’s check.  If you will be mailing payment, I will give you the address information in your confirmation email.

Again, if you have any questions, please either inquire within this thread, or email or PM me.

Thanks!

Engine Tech / EEC -IV .... soon to be out the door....
Well, I'm not sure if it was a good thing or not, but I took the opportunity while I was laid up a bit after the knee surgery and the wisdom teeth yanking to put my MegaSquirt ECU together...  NOt sure if doing while on mild pain meds was a smart idea or not..but we'll see. It's modded to run the TFI and use the IAC for warm-up only.  It's also got the flyback board mod (first pic) so I can use the stock-type impedance injectors.

My laptop is dead :toilet: , so I need to wait until I get another to fully test it, but the LEDs flash as they should using the little tester...so we'll see.

Gonna build the relay box and a new engine harness (get rid of 20+ yr old wiring) before it goes into the car.  I still have alot to sort out and the fun will really begin when I get into the tuning. :hick:

T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars WANTED / Need some 83-84 Tbird parts
Working on getting the Tbird back together and a couple things are popping up that I need some better examples of.  I'm trying to not get too carried away with this stuff, but some of the items are just not to my liking.

- A set of wide body side mouldings for the doors. These are the style with the 2 ribs in them.  The set I thought I had look a bit "melted" in spots?!?  I know they may get malformed removing them and the plastic on the chrome strip may come off.  I'm refurbishing them and they will be painted, so as long as they are in solid shape, we can talk.

-A chrome 83-84 grille (TC perferred) in good shape.  Mine is a bit "pitted" for my taste.  Will not polish out.  83-84 only please.

Thanks
Chuck

Body/Appearance/Interior / Does SEM interior paint work on aluminum?
When I get around to getting the inside of the Tbird back together, I"ll need to touch up a couple of the trim panels that are the aluminum instead of the plastic.  Does the SEM dye/paint work ok on that as well so I can get a good color match?

Body/Appearance/Interior / The "Clone" is BACK FROM PAINT!!: )
Well, the 83 TC clone goes off for paint next weekend. Should have it back in my possesion my mid April :D  It's staying silver.
I say "clone" as it is formerly a 5.0 car and the paint and trim details are being done up in 83TC fashion. Mechanically it is far past stock

The only "extra" I'm adding are some NACA ducts in the lower quarters between the door and the rear wheel well. These are for future use (either IRS diff cooler or "other" uses). I figure I'd add them now instead of going back and cutting holes in nice paint.

Then will come the reassembly.....:hick:

I've had the car for 9 years now, so I figured it was about time.
