Turbo over-boosting

Ok, so the other night on my way home, as co-worker in his 13' camero ss and I were playing around, he likes to he my turbo spool up, and while I mashed the semi-loud pedal, I about messed my shorts when I noticed that my boost gauge was pegged out at 24 lbs!!! So my question is....has my boost controller taken a permenate vacation? I had bypassed it before but it only ever went up to 15 lbs nothing higher. So I'm at a loss as to why now it has began going so high? And yes I've started to drive like a grandpa...... No offense intended to those who are elderly... to keep the boost at a reasonable level.

Turbo over-boosting

I have found what I believe what my problem was. The rubber line  going from the cold side inlet tube to the wastegate was split so the wastegate diaphragm wasn't getting any boost signal. Replaced line, boost back to normal levels.
Thanks for reading guys.
