help y pipe Reply #1 – April 07, 2013, 08:44:16 PM Don't waste your time with a 5.0L y-pipe. It's not any bigger or better than the 3.8L. What you should do is run SN-95 3.8L exhaust manifolds which are tubular, larger, and have a 2-2.25" compatible , and if you do that, I can vouch for the 5.0L Mustang H-Pipe in 2 1/4" fitting up just fine, which is how I ran my 87 3.8L T-Bird. Technically, though, 2.25" is a bit big for a 3.8L, but a nicer alternative would be the 2" Lincoln Mark VII H-Pipe if you can find a good one. Quote Selected
