Cruise control not working

Can someone give me a place to start on the cruise control not working? Hit the cruise button and the set button and nothing happens at all. Thanks in advance

See if the horn works.

These cars predate clocksprings so there are contacts behind the steering wheel. If the car sits for a while they get corroded.

there is a cruise cable that goes from the throttle body over and into the driver fender well.
the end of the cable in the fender well at the cruise vacuum module has a tiny clip that holds the cable in place.

up at the throttle body, pull on the end of the cable...
if you ca pull it out and push it back in with easy, that tiny clip broke.

update us...
i am not really sure where to obtain a replacement clip but this cruise system did exist across many years of different application of cars.

If it is a Turbo Coupe with a manual trans, it could be the clutch switch.
