Misc Tech / brake prop valve
well the difference could also be something to do with the 10" optional drums that came on some cars... could be even though they both came with drum rears, my understanding was that it was possible to get 10" vs 9" optioned up. So it may be something that comes as part of that option. Bigger line to better push the bigger shoes? I would measure the diameters on the 2 cars and see if that's the case

It's making me wonder if I do have a EEC problem and if I do where would I find one

Do you remember at any point smelling a burning smell around the time the problems started? If a capacitor or something burned out in the ECU you might be able to smell it, like an electrical fire smell. You could also just pull the ECU out and see if any visible damage or shorting has occured, if so that would tell you for sure what the problem is... When mine burned up it left a nasty black streak across it where the cap burned out

When I bought my Mustang I originally wanted Grabber Orange. Nobody had any, but one of the dealerships told me they had one coming in with the 2.7. I said, "you mean 3.7?", he said "No, it's a new 4-cyl Turbo". I said "You mean the 2.3 Ecoboost?", He said "No, it's a brand new engine". Didn't buy my 5.0 from him

Trying to figure out the train of thought on that one... I'm thinking he must have gotten it confused with the newer 2.7 Ecoboost in the 15+ F150s

Body/Appearance/Interior / LED Bulb Conversion (Whole Car)

Thought about a resistor...but I'm still trying to figure out why the test light trips the fuse. Very odd indeed.

How big is the fuse? Maybe the test light is arcing ever so slightly when you make contact and the resulting flash causes the fuse to blow...?

I wired mine in after-the-fact after nabbing a j/y socket so I wouldn't have any experience with this...

Speaking of...turn signal demo, full LED conversion:

Love it :D

This is the recording of mine with the webelecticproducts sequencer kit installed:

These were awful AutoZone LED bulbs that didn't have any back firing or side firing LEDs on them so they had a very spotted effect but still pretty cool... I was trying to go for that 2nd gen S197 look, it kinda worked...

I later turned off the brake light pulsing as that was pretty annoying.

For the glovebox light that keeps blowing out... Have you considered wiring in a resistor, the type that's sometimes put in line with taillights to keep them from hyperflashing?

.... It's real ugly, but still runs good and has a lot of good parts.

Even when they're not pretty, they're never ugly :)

Looks like a nice find. Haven't seen the inside though...

Yes!!!! I love this.

Converted most of my bulbs to LED a few years ago. Never got around to finishing the whole car although that was the whole idea. The 30-something 194 bulbs in the 87-88 cluster threw me off for a while. I got some cheap ones on ebay 7 or 8 years or so ago, they were total garbage, so bad it made by stock bulbs look good...

It was a great upgrade that really helped the car feel (a bit) more modern.

... and Mitsubishi is doing it as well...

Yes, this can be seen in the fact that they are bringing back the Eclipse nameplate as a CUV...:(

Engine Tech / 1986 Cougar 3.8 L won't idle.

ISC = Idle Speed Control. CFI's method to control idle. It physically moves the throttle blade to adjust airflow. IAC sends air through it and bypasses the throttle blades.

I'm thinking if this were the case though it would be causing a deficiency in air delivery, not fuel delivery right? Spraying alternative fuel should have no effect if its a case of not enough air making it through the TV

seems like it would change direction easily during use... You haven't had that issue?
