Suspension/Steering / new project
this is what i've been working on the past couple weeks, it's going together pretty well. i'll keep posting pix as i update it also. parts should get here soon and i can finish it up. also, i gotta measure for wheels soon too.



this is mostly about the IRS install, and coil overs but i figure i'd post up the rest of the pix i took so far too lol, ill post up some pix of the t56 in drive train later on, along with the 302 tear town

Engine Tech / oil ser ring ?
think there the same, this is based on my checking PN's for rings/bearings for my 302 that im rebuilding with HO parts. im almost positive the "wear" parts are all the same, just the pistons are different.

Wonder if I saw any of you guys, think I saw mercury man, at first I thought you were Rick (black n red cougar), but didn't see him or any of his stuff. I was mostly with NATO by I wondered around a lot too...

Suspension/Steering / shock tower measurments
i know a few of you guys have stangs, can somebody give me a measurment of the rear shock tower? it needs to be from the trunk floor (where it meets it) and the top, where the bolt comes through. working on a project, i'll post up pix when its done ;)

also, im looking for measurments from fox, sn95, and 99-04

Engine Tech / Exhaust Tone / Backpressure
Well that turbo should give you all the back pressure you need. Also, with a turbo car you want a free flowing exhaust with a high flow ler like a dynomax, or glass pack. Chamberd lers give you the chug, but the turbo don't like that as much as a straight threw setup. Your new exhaust sound is because there's less chug, and more hot exhaust gas flowing out with less resonantion. I hope this made sense, I'm pretty bad at explaining things lol.

I swapped mine to a mustangs just to get the aftermarket motor mounts... before chuck started making good ones for US lol....

yeah, its for tbirds and cougars. mustang guys can buy these new for a bit more, but NOBODY makes them for us, and good luck finding somebody to modify one for you... at least near me. i talked to about 6 places that did drive shafts and nobody wanted to touch it untill i got a friend that ran a shop, that new a guy, that pulled some strings for me... sooo i figure 200 is a pretty sweet price considering you'd spend more on a new mustang one, pluss another hundred to have it modified. it's 48.5" center to center of universals. it was used for a dyno pull and put back on a trailer from what i heard, it's almost new. infact... if i put some bubble wrap and a box around it, i could probably lie and sell it as new lol. but seriously this things in as good a shape as the custom one i ordered for my t56 thats never been run yet.
