WTB 83-88 Thundercat (no V6s!!!)

Due to some upcoming changes in my life I will be forced to get rid of the S197 and purchase something a little more bank account friendly. Tbird or Cougar it matters not. I don't want the 3.8L V6. That much I do know. I'd rather have a T-5, so I'll be leaning towards a TC or XR-7 or a converted thundercat. I can do the swap... I just don't have the time. Doesn't have to be completely rust free, but I'm not interested in any rust buckets or fixer uppers. Don't really care for red paint either. :P

Prefer 4-eyes as well but I'm not going to be too picky about that.

I'm looking to spend in the neighborhood of $1000 to $2000 come tax return.

I am willing to travel for the right car. I'm located in the Detroit Metro Area.

Let me know what you got.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Hmmm.... not sure how I missed that one.

The Dayton Bird has a little too much rust IMO. I'm afraid to even look at the frame. The one in Huntsville looks nice. Out of my price range though... :(

Sweet! You take the payments, and I'll take the TC. Actually my ex-fiance is going to take it. But if she changes her mind I'll let you know. :)

That's actually my first choice, but I don't know it will be around by the time I have the funds.

I thought it was funny too. I was just surprised it took someone that long to notice it.

What ever you buy I have a set of warlock lers you can buy to put on it. If you wanted to get an MN12 you can buy those all day long in central IL for that price.
