If you are going to replace your thermostat I suggest a Stant "SuperStat" 192°.  Some of the other brands have been questionable in operation including the subbed out Motorcraft.

all parts were replaced with Motorcraft.

What did you gap the plugs at?  Should be around .028"

I need to put the car away over the weekend too.

I am not a big fan of the StaBil fuel additive.  When I have taken the carbs apart on small engine equipment that had Stabil in it then began having problems I always found a milky white residue.

I found from the snowmobile groups use Star Tron because it isn't as ratio dependent and has a better shelf life in the tank for protection.  Since switching I haven't had to clean the carbs.  Thought I would pass it along for next year.

Update - the pads did not looked soaked but I did wash them off before putting them back on the car.  I have not noticed a difference or seen the wheel lock up on hard braking.  So far so good.

Did you check the ignition switch on the steering column?  They are a known item to go bad on our cars and act funny working then not working before failing.

Good Luck with the sale, Rick.  Beautiful car.

Last year we rented a RV for a one way trip across the U.S.  It was the best vacation I have ever had.  When we retire, we want to the same with a RV and just travel.
