im going v8.......

have a running 2.3
just got the head ported and polished, dual springs, locks retainers changed, a 231 roller cam, intake polished and upper/lower gasket matched, SC throttle body, header as well.
Head has the largest Ferrea valves that would fit with a 5 angle valve job. previous owner freshened the bottom end, i just put a new pump and aux shaft and dizzy.
still in the car running but the turbo bearings eat their self.(dont buy used turbos by the way unless you really know them.) so the turbo is gone you may as well say but it will go with the engine.

i got 800.00 in the head/intake work plus the oil pump and shaft and dizzy with less than 2500 miles.

ill take 800.00 for the complete engine, unbolt from the bell housing and pull the wires off and load it up.(minus the alternator and PS pump and such...)s

Could have been....lol.....I talked to SO many previous bird/cougar owners it was crazy!

This was me.....ONLY bird in the "show" area......lol....

Engine Tech / 2.3 turbo engine gurus step inside....
ok, new problems, I got it running and of course it needs a tune from all the changes, but, im driving it about a week-week and a half.....it does the pop back in the intake and cuts off, still coasting and the tack is on 0. that had me puzzled to begin with. took the dizzy out and the teeth were chewed off....never messed with the aux shaft or dizzy while it was down other than the timing belt.

now I replaced the OEM dizzy with another OEM dizzy from a mustang and it ran fine now for another 2 weeks. looked at the aux shaft while it was out and the gear look fine. well, the same thing happened this morning so now.........im getting another OEM aux shaft next week and then investigating the whole situation.......

anyone ever have this problem before? any tips you can throw my way on this issue? anything at all!!!!!
