Engine Tech / Opinions on a new cam.....
OK....the story.....

I have a custom Ed Curtis cam. Made for my car. Since the cam was installed a few years ago, I changed the following....

3.55 to 3.73 gears
Shorty headers to long tubes
GT40 intake to Trick Flow R
70mm tbody to a 75

My thoughts are the cam isn't as optimal as it was because it was made for a certain combo.

I have a new Anderson N41 cam on my work bench, has anyone ever had an experience with them?

Also, do you think a Trick Flow R intake is actually more for racing and I'd be better off with a Track Heat or Street Heat style intake/

General Fox T-Bird/Cougar Discussion / I am making changes............again....
I have an Anderson N41 cam on the bench, and a Trick Flow Track Heat intake and spacer in route. The Trick Flow R has been too much intake for my car.

The Ed Curtis cam has been awesome, but it was made when I had a lot of different parts. I have since swapped the rear and the gear ratio, 3.55 to 3.73. I went from a 70mm throttle body to 75. Shorty headers to long tubes, and the GT-40 intake to Trick Flow, so, I think I'm going to swap the cam next Thursday, along with the intake and a new balancer. News as it happens along with pics.

Here I go again.

T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars WANTED / Body side molding pieces.....
1988 Thunderbird......

I need the front right fender molding, no lights, don't care if the chrome is bad as long as the rest is good.

I also need the rear left body side molding in nice shape. The chrome strip is a non issue.

Looking for cheap. Maybe a trade.

Engine Tech / Engine timing education needed....
I'll try to word this right......I feel like an idiot already even asking......

Since I installed the new distributor a couple of weeks ago, the car has been acting a little weak, not right. I thought I had set the timing at 14 degrees.

I have a new timing light I got a few months ago and was using it. it has the dial on the back, and I lost the instructions...never used one like this in my life.

I removed the spout, started the car and checked the timing. It should 10 degrees. I set the dial on the timing light at 0 and set the timing to 14, car wasn't right......so, I set the dial to 14 degrees, and the timing on the balancer at 14....car is running stronger than it ever has so far. I guess my question is, what is the proper way to use this light with the dial? Did I use it right at all? My old light was simply aim and time. No digital panel, no dial.

Electrical Tech / MSD ignition box......now no tach....
First, I'm using the factory Sport tach in my car. Not aftermarket.

I hooked up an MSD Street Fire ignition kit. It has a gray wire that states it goes to the tach. I didn't hook it up, and now I have no tach. (1988 SPORT).

Which wire is the tach wire under the hood so I can hook it up?
