    Default 13th Annual ITC Convention Salisbury, NC August 14-20, 2006

    The International Thunderbird Club (ITC) will be holding its 13th Annual International Convention August 14-20, 2006 in Salisbury North Carolina. The convention will be based out of the Holiday Inn on Jake Alexander Boulevard. For reservations call 704-637-3100 and mention the tracking code: 2-ITC.

    The 2006 ITC Convention will be the ultimate “Family” Thunderbird Experience of the season! This will be a 7 Day Thunderbird event open to all Thunderbird owners and enthusiasts from 1955-2005! To participate in this convention you do not need to be a member of the ITC (however ITC members will receive discounted pricing). Here are “some” of the events that are currently planned, Driving Tours and stops at: Childress & Reylen Wine Tours, Tour of Old Salisbury including Trolly Car, Reed Gold Mine, NASCAR Garage Tours, Dennis Carpenter’s Manufacturing area and Museum, The North Carolina Transportation Museum, the Memory Lane Museum, There will also be a Monday welcome party, golf for those interested, evening Barbeques and a Queens landing Dinner Cruise on Lake Norman! A fantastic list of activities and did I mention shopping and Ice Cream Stops! This years convention will culminate with Saturdays Thunderbird Concours Show during the day at the Holiday Inn, being topped off Saturday evening with the awards banquet.     One thing to keep in mind when attending this convention, is the important fact that the International Thunderbird Club has been “created by serious people…just for fun!”

    I'll see if I can take my 'bird down there on Saturday and check out some nice rides .
