Default 20th anny dupli color for code 2H

anyone confirmed yet that the duplicolor "perfect match" line of paint called "Dark Canyon Red" is a match for the 20th color?

i just found out my local mom&pops Napa works locally with a company that takes special orders for OEM single stage paints.

if you buy one can of code 2H cabernet Red, its 15$,, if you buy more than one each can is 13$.

had no idea they did this,, and i think its a local thing only,, they are willing to ship nation wide.

Every automotive paint supply place near me will put paint in a spray can for you. It's not that uncommon, at least here.

The paint may or may not match up exactly. Usually automotive paint has several variations in the production run. Body shops usually have paint chips with the known variations and codes to match the different shades of the same color. Also being the paint on your 20th is 30 years old it's probably faded a bit.

I can't answer that, but I can tell you this: I resprayed a panel a few months ago with Dupont Chroma base. I could NOT get it to pop. It kept drying in a somewhat matte finish style. Extremely frustrating as the rest of the car had been painted with it 5 years prior. I had a can of Dupli Color Honda Nighthawk Black laying around that I had never used (code B92P, it was the color I had the car painted) so I figure "It's worth trying."
It came out like glass and was a PERFECT match. I put some clear over it and it's been perfect. As stated; if your paint is original it most likely has SOME fading (red fades BADLY compared to most other colors) so take that into consideration.

this side of the car was repainted in the past by someone,, never was really sure it was correct.
Ive been sanding and found that there are 2 paint jobs in some areas and three in others.
