    you can carefully cut the window seal from the inside with a razor knife but take your time and work yourself around the whole window.

    I'm guessing you have manual HVAC controls, not EATC.
    If he physically broke the vacuum valve it will stay on defrost until the valve is replaced.
    He may have unplugged the vacuum connection to the function selector vacuum valve.
    Notice with the doors in the NV position, the air goes to the windshield outlets.

    Does anyone make this part anymore? Also is it the one directly behind the glovebox it kinda seems like its getting no vacuum

    The vacuum valve is operated by the bottom slider on the HVAC control. off, a/c max, a/c norm, vent, floor, defrost
    The all black (no color stripe) is the vacuum supply.
