    Default Voltage regulator

    Does the regulator get warm to touch after 3 min or so 85 t-bird I am getting close

    so i can assume your running an msd ign system?

    judging from the purdy thick paint there which looks real good ,, did you happen to mount the reglator by removing paint so the unit can get a good chassis ground?

    or..........

    are you speaking of the voltage regulator on the alternator?

    test drive your own question,, it leaves us to assume a few things. i dont see a vac advance on the dizzy so i could go on and assume a few more things. Also, I see wiring off the coil leading off the edge of the pic so can I assume you have an external regulator?

    It is grounded yes I have an external voltage regulaor question is will it get warm to the touch when the key in in on position not even running?? Not sure about the shock tower?? What you see is a bone stock tower it has not been cut or welded all. Maybe picture is deciving.

    Yes,, as would a stock voltage regulator on a stock alternator with the key on. its power just waiting there. Hot is one thing,, but just warm is prob ok.
    You will soon have the fan to cool the regulator case down.

    Not stroked last time on the dyno 370 HP and 403 ftlbs torque had it out for a little spin WOW I am going to get into trouble with it.
