Still here....

It's been a while. Detailed the heck out of the car Sunday. Of course the rain came because you know, my roof is supposed to get done and I need good weather. Typical. Car still looks good though. Plans for when the weather FINALLY breaks here (because it's still in the 40's most nights with a few barely above freezing) are to redo a couple of problem spots and totally sort out the wiring harness on the driver side of the engine bay.  No issues, but I really want to tuck it and make it a bit more organized. The factory was lacking in that regard.

Been a while for me as well. When I see yours I think "huh, wish mine was black"

Well it looks good :)

You're still having paint issues? I thought that was resolved a couple years ago?

I've been stripping all the trim off mine the last couple days in preparation for paint. It should be going into the body shop Monday.

I had one in your color.  I still miss it.

Lou, it's a spot I corrected a while back and the base laid down perfect.  The clear hazed horrendously though. Passenger side ewar quarter on the bottom. That and under the rear window.  It's the size of a dime on both sides.  Quick work. This car had bad prep from the factory.

What brand of clear/base coat? I've had good luck with PPG stuff, even in rattle cans. When I had my Mark VII I touched up a bunch of spots with PPG rattle can paint.

I cannot remember. I have a 2 part clear that came recommended for this time.  We'll see what happens.

The base was PPG rattle can. It laid down amazingly. It came out better than the other side done with a gun at a shop.

Also, I just reshoot the scoops with SEM satin black. They came out awesome as well.

Are you shooting the clear with a gun?

Nope. The area is a little more than a square foot.

Ah. That's not too big an area.
